Cappy's Pizzeria

Ok so We were going to a theatre on Central Ave in St. Petersburg and had time for a quick dinner. We past this interesting looking house/restaurant called Cappy’s and it caught our attention. We prefer family owned, small restaurants and that is what We delightfully got at Cappy’s!It’s casual and eclectic in its homey atmosphere. We were seated in the front room with lots of windows and license plates from all over the country, boarding above the windows. The wooden tables are large and the wooden ladder back chairs promote the homey atmosphere. Our server, Hannah was wonderful! She was bright and cheerful and knowledgeable about the items on the limited menu.We ordered the small Greek salad for both of us to share. It was delicious !!! It had feta and pepperoccini and calamata olives and even a bit of potato salad. The dressing was awesome!!! We practicality licked our plates clean. On the menu is NY and Chicago style pizza and CALZONE. We ordered the sausage calzone, but found it did not have the usual ricotta inside, thereby making it in my tastebuds a Stromboli. And it was fantastic! Perfectly baked and hot from the oven and served with a side of very tasty marinara dipping sauce. They have beer and wine and soft drinks and are very reasonably priced.I can’t wait to go back again!

After months of FB posts by my nephew with pictures of this pizza I finally made it there to try it. All the hype was right on! The sauce was fresh with San marsano tomatoes. The sausage was freshly made and really good mozzarella cheese. I could have eaten a whole pie. Have not had this fresh a pizza since visiting Little Italy in New York City

We ordered 3 different types of salads and a Joeys Famous Deluxe pizza. The salads were very good. The pizza was absolutely wonderful. After waiting about 10 minutes for the pizza to come out of the oven we took the pizza and salads home to consume. The sauce and other ingredients tasted like they were "top-notch" ingredients and that certainly translated into a great taste. For those hoping to have a sit-down meal, there is no sit-down in the restaurant itself and only a couple of tables outside. The price may be a little higher than other pizza places, however, you get a better pizza with better ingredients making it a delicious pizza . Highly recommend this pizza place.

We enjoyed our pizza at Oak and Stone. Crust was thin, but very crispy. We shared the special. Could not detect any pepperoni on it, but thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a party of eight or so enjoying the all you could drink mimosas, and they got very loud. When they left, the whole atmosphere of the place changed. The sandwiches delivered to other tables looked delicious. Except for the noise, we enjoyed our time at Oak and Stone.

Tonite was my first visit to Italia Mia. I was very impressed. Started with quite a nice sized salad, though it was only iceberg, a couple tomato wedges, 2 green olives and a peppercini (nothing impressive), and then ordered the linguine with white clam sauce. It was served piping hot and an abundance of chopped clams perfectly seasoned and served over a bed of linguine cooked to perfection and served with a hot crusty roll. One of the best white clam sauces I've ever had!

We dined here last nite for the first time, and ordered a large " St. Michaels's Supreme." Excellent pizza crust, with fresh toppings. You can really taste the difference when one uses quality ingredients. San Marzano tomatoes, fire roasted peppers, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and pepperoni. And fairly priced @ $17.00.Its a small place, but we timed it just right, as Their was a wait when we were leaving .Excellent food, and friendly staff. Can't wait to return, and try other varieties.I think we just found our new favorite pizza place!

I rarely order pasta in restaurants because I worry about it being overcooked, but when I saw the traditional recipe for cacio e pepe, I was curious. Very delicious! Also enjoyed the pappardelle bolognese. The antipasto plate with the meats and cheeses wasn’t really anything exciting, but overall was very happy with our dinner.

TiKanis

We’re making the best Pizza and Wings in Pinellas County and serving up 28 rotating great beers on draft.

Reviewed By milack

In April 2017, Delish and Esquire Magazines named Tikanis the best place for wings in the entire state of Florida. Their winds are fired first, then tossed in your choice of sauce, then flamed-broiled to give them their unique flavor. We ordered a dozen of their Sweet Thai Chili wings ($13, $7 for six) and they were great—and a bit spicy as well. Their other sauces are: mild, medium, hot, Napalm, honey BBQ, Teriyaki, garlic parmesan, Jamaican jerk, lemon pepper, and blackened. The wings come with carrots, celery, and a choice of dipping sauces (ranch or blue cheese). I saw a newspaper article with the headline, “Take Off with a Jumbo-Jet Beer Flight.” The article went on to read, “The $45 flight board includes 25 samples, equivalent of six pints; smaller flights are also available. Now that sounded like a challenge—unfortunately, I had my kids in tow, but now 25 samples on one flight board (at the very least) is on my bucket list. Our family ordered two pizzas, a medium 12” one-topping pizza ($12) and a large 16” one-topping pizza ($16.50). Now, when it comes to pizza, I love pizza—it would be my last meal on earth, but I am not a connoisseur, by any means. To me, pizza is like sex; when it’s good, it’s good; but when it’s bad… it’s still good. My unique skill lies not in discerning flavor profiles or building exotic creations, rather gauging the value of pizzas, relative to their cost and quality. Basically, if you pay a premium price, you should get a premium pizza and the prices Tikanis charge for their pizzas, just doesn’t add up to quality of pizza they serve. One of our pizzas had a small amount of toppings. Additionally, the dough for both pizzas were undercooked in the middle, but browned on the crust. Perhaps par-baking the dough will help it cook more evenly and through. Lastly, they dough was also very tough and chewy, most likely because they use a high protein flour in their dough. I wish I could give them a 2.5 rating, but will round up to 3, hoping they improve their pizzas. While I wouldn’t come here for the pizzas, I would strongly recommend eating their wings and attempting to finish their jumbo-jet beer flight.Milack, thank you for your review and glad to hear that our Wings were great and you enjoyed our beer selection. We use nothing but the best quality and fresh ingredients to make our Pizza and are making everything in House. Sorry to hear we didn't match your taste for the Pizza. Hope to see you soon for the Wings, Beers and other great house made food we offer. Best. Lucas, Owner.
