We walked around St Flour one evening looking for a place to eat pretty early. ( In Spain we eat around 9:30), but this town seems to completely shut down at around 6:30-7:00. We found this small little Italian restaurant down the main street, tucked away. The waitress new very little English, and was very sweet which we were so grateful for, because this town only speaks French. The pizza and salad came out, and were actually very good. Lots of flavor, and the kids loved it! The only negative are the fly catchers hanging up to look at when you are eating, above the front door, and the dead flies along the floorboard below the tables...that did not bother me much, but is worth mentioning.
This pizza restaurant is a small takeaway with outside enclosed seating added. We were warmly welcomed, ordered pizzas with beers which arrived a short while afterwards. The pizzas were made with quality ingredients and tasted wonderful. We had two small cans of beer each; the bill came to 27 euros - which I thought really cheap for such good food. Would I recommend it - absolutely - although it might not be warm enough to sit in the outside seating area on a less warm evening.
