We had our best restaurant experience ever in Italy here last November. From the flat bread pizza appetizers to the dolci and limoncello, everything was perfect. I'm not kidding. Our meals and wine were excellent. Having said all that, I have to say that the service and the whole staff were the absolute best! We were lucky to be seated for dinner, even though we had no reservation, which limited our time to about an hour and a half, before the table was needed for a reservation. That was plenty of time for us. The staff person, Irene, I think, was so accommodating and gracious. We have made 4 trips to Italy in the last few years and this dinner experience was the best. We will return to Bologna and we will eat here again.

A must. Great service, excellent food, especially if you like truffles, mushrooms, meat, and aren't on a diet! It's a little out of the way but truly worth the drive. I'd recommend asking for a table on the terrace (great views), weather permitting. We spent â¬100 for four, and we eat!

A little bit out of the centre but easy to find, this is an attractive restaurant inside with friendly staff and great food. We shared a starter of anchovy salad which was delicious. Good wine too. The pizzas we ordered were just the best; fantastic dough with fresh, tasty ingredients. Obviously made with love. In true Italian style, there was some drama going on in the kitchen and our pizzas took a while to arrive. The charismatic owner/ manageress was insistent on offering free dessert/ drink because of this, a nice touch.

Everyone needs to heed the bad reviews for this restaurant. I left feeling violated and stupid to have been ripped off by these people. All the bad reviews are completely accurate, particularly about the so called buffalo mozzarella on your pizza. This is merely a scam to charge you more money and it is NOT buffalo mozzarella. Not only that but they say on the menu that the cover charge is £2. NOT correct they charge whatever they like. Places like this should be shut down. If you are reading this and wonder if maybe the reviews saying it is a good place are true, please believe me it is NOT. By all means if you are happy that they steal your money and you are okay with pizza with non fresh topping then give it a try but in my opinion it should be illegal to cheat people in this way however they appear to have this down to a fine art. I donât know how the owner and any of the staff can sleep at night knowing how they are treating people and taking their hard earned cash in such a despicable way. Sadly this has tainted my view of Bologna itself and I will never return. Please, AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I never realized how important Bologna is on the Italian food scene until I visited there recently. It's the epicenter for many popular pasta dishes, so this place did not disappoint. I had the tortellini in broth (a local specialty) and it was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. My husband had the bolognese which was super tasty. Our waiter was charming and attentive and answered all our questions. He recommended a lovely local wine and then gave us our choice of grappa or limoncello on the house.

I would never eat here if I didn't search TA for a good pizza in Bologna. This small bar is outside the prime tourist area, some 15-20 min walk from the main Piazza Maggiore, and it's packed with locals what is always a good sign.On a hot Saturday night there was no space to sit outside (we didn't want to sit inside - it's like in an oven) so we waited almost an hour for a table. It was worth it - terrific home made Napoli style pizza and craft beer at very, very normal prices.All the personnel is super friendly and kind and speaking good English.
