Tried hard to find a good restaurant in Caen which could offer a choice for vegetarians! Rustica does. Warm welcome, good atmosphere and cheerful service. Pizza and aubergine dish were both super, and also ordered a salad with roast veg which was excellent. Not expensive, and the house red was good. Worth looking for, and I suspect booking, as we ate early and the place was already busy.

We should have carried on looking for somewhere to eat, but with limited time we gave this restaurant a go. Hindsight is great and having noted a few flies, a grubby looking owner and the pizza area didnât look too hygienic either, we should have just walked away. So, we went for simple pasta dishes which were ok, but not that good. Anyway, we lived to tell the tale, but wouldnât return. That owner really looked as though he hadnât washed for some time, he had no concept of making a good impression. He did very little too, made a young girl do all the waitering work.

Popular restaurant. Can be a bit overcrowded (one or two tables too many) and hot on a summers evening. However, the service was friendly and efficient and the food was very good. We had pasta dishes which were very tasty. The house red wine was very good and at â¬7 for 50cl a real bargain,

In Italy you would never pay for a pizza as charred as the one we received. Here not only did we pay for it even if we didnât eat it as it was almost not edible but the waiter didnât even blink when he gave us the bill. If your pizza is overcooked for you, you can ask us to do it again without problem!When the boss asked you if it had been, you answered yes. We would have preferred that you tell us the truth directly rather than write your first opinion about us.Too bad, we hope that during a future visit to Caen you will leave us a second chance!The Noviteam

Came in for dinner solo, waiter was so friendly and helped me out with an English menu, never had to wait to be served and even had a glass of the Beaujolais Nouveau. Left very happy, would certainly return.

A Pizza is a not everyone's first choice of a meal but if you like Pizza then this is the best Pizza restaurant in Caen, and also probably for miles around. Located in the wonderful Rue Vaugueux and surrounded by lots of competing restaurants this is definitely worth a visit. An extensive menu (albeit Pizza and Pasta) to cater for all tastes, a very welcoming, friendly and efficient service from the owner and his staff, and beautifully cooked pizzas with lots of toppings, served pipping hot make this a real treat. We have eaten here on numerous occasions and always been impressed. Add in good value for money and what is there not to like ? Look at all the other reviews and rankings, we can't all be wrong! Bon Appetit!

While my fiancée and I were in Caen we stopped here. Amazing pizza! We've been all over Italy...this pizza may be better than anything there. In the owners words "My English is not good. But my pizza is." Despite our language issues she was very friendly, patient, and helpful. Highly recommend.
