Went here to grab a quick bite. Positives: good subs, good size portions, not skimpy on veggies. Nice customer service. Good location. Eat in or take out.Negatives:Inside could use some updating. Old decor and space. Pubtables are high for most people.

We recently moved to Pembroke and from the first day we moved in we have been eating or doing take out at Pembroke House of Pizza. The food is excellent, the portions big and the staff, especially the owner, go out of their way to please. They are friendly and competent. Their menu, besides pizza, is quite large and we have enjoyed their subs, Italian meals, side dishes and the pizza, of course. Prices are great! Everyone can find something to love!

So let me just start with this place has the best steak and cheese ever! I love both the sub and the calzone style. I went today and got a small steak and cheese calzone which is the size of a small pizza box. It was perfectly cooked, hot, and ready when they said. Today's calzone was just as good as every other time I have had it which is often. I also want to mention all their food is great. The pizza is a really great deal and is a nice thick slice of pie. There is a little spot to eat inside or if it is nice out maybe walk across the street to the little beach area. The prices are very affordable and they have a very wide menu including some fried items. The most noticeable thing about this place is the staff. For as long as I can remember the same reliable friendly faces have been there. Next time you go in tell them I said hello. I highly recommend you try them out.

We enjoyed good service and pleasant atmosphere tonight at Venus III. Sometimes it can be noisy, but tonight was fine. There is a wide variety of choices on the menu. The turkey club sandwiches are especially delicious and come with French fries. The sandwiches are thick and filled with lots of turkey. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. There are lots of booths and a large bar area with lots of tv's. I would recommend Venus III for a casual meal.

It had been sometime since I had stopped over here. In the past I have gotten their steak & cheese subs and always large portions and delicious. Yesterday I stopped by with some friends from Connecticut to grab a pizza. If you like greesy greek style pizza you will love this. Just as good as 15 years ago and I'm pretty sure the older man and the lady have been working there since I was a kid. They are so sweet and always nice to chat with. It's not a busy spot but its a little treasure.

We often get pizza from Expresso's. The pizza is generally prepared quickly and is very consistent. The family which owns the business are nice. The menu for takeout is slightly more extensive than other similar places.

We visited The Lucky Dawg on a recommendation of a friend. It's a local tavern and looks like a great place to down a few beers. We came to eat and we were seated right away. The place was clean, but a little loud. I had the Prime Rib special with mashed potatoes and a medley of veggies. It was very good and only 9.99. My wife had the Turkey Rachel with sweet potato fries, she thought it was also good. The only gripe that we had is that the food was slow coming out. We will revisit at a later date.

We were regular customers at Mike's a House of Pizza. Every Friday night we would order. We also used Mike's for very large pizza orders for the local high school field hockey and volleyball teams. Our last visit was very disappointing as they would not honor a coupon which we received in a mass mailing. The order was for a large party of teenage boys. As we were paying for the meal we produced a coupon (this process didn't vary from previous identical transactions). The owner would not honor the coupon or minimally we disagreed on the coupons interpretation. He would not relent do we paid for order in full and unhappily left. At that point we vowed to never return.

We go here all the time. Great salad, pizza, turkey tips and steak tips are spectacular. Its a bar with seating for dining, watching sports, etc, the waitresses here are always awesome too. Fair prices as well. Always busy here too. All in all...great place.

Well, disappointed with our visit to Alumni. Kids burgers were nicknamed "hockey pucks", meatless burger was not good, steak tips were so tough and soup (chicken wild rice) was not good. We all left food. The owner was there and I should of said something. My mistake
