The pizza here is delicious! It is deep dish style, hand-made with tasty ingredients and spices. The lovely couple who own the place are super nice, interesting to talk with and definitely want to ensure that you are satisfied with the pizza. The pizza is by the slice, really a quarter of a whole pizza. This way one can sample several kinds. We had three different varieties. We are vegetarian so had the pesto, olive and three cheese with tomatoes. Each was delightful.

this review is about the restaurant's other location, situated in los ceibos, north of guayaquil. 5 years ago i visited this restaurant's original location in samborondon, but decided never to go back because of what i experienced. after all this time i went back, do to some recommendations and because it is near my house. the minute they served some over toasted garlic bread, i regretted my decision. the place is very cozy and has a good decoration if you don't see the tables and chairs, typical patio furniture used indoors. the staff was cordial and very prepared. the food... now that's something else. people keep talking about the pizza. i love pizza and in my experience it is very hard to screw up a pizza. even $1 slices of pizza are better than anything i tasted here. the vegetarian pizza was simply tasteless. it had tomato sauce, cheese, canned mushrooms, red and green pepper, tomatoes and onions. the vegetables were visibly undercooked, unsalted, and just put in there for the sake of it. it was actually cold and mushy. i kept throwing salt, peppers and everything i could find to give it a little bit of a taste. the rest of the menu has your typical italian dishes at a $15 price range. the medium pizza was around $25, but you could eat for less than that if you don't order drinks and just eat a margherita pizza.

They have two restaurants.... One in Guayaquiil and the Other in Samborondon..... Those are EXCELENT!!!!!... I went with friends and Believe me RIVIERA is The best italian food in Guayaquil and Samborondon, you have to prove it !!!!Is EXCELENT!!!!!

Two blocks away from the main street (Victor Emilio Estrada) on the trendy Urdesa Neighborhood of Guayaquil this restaurant offers pizza and some pasta for those of you who want decent pizza at reasonable prices.The premises are not fancy... basic will describe them better. The menu is also on the basic side and the food quality and cooking is at best average. However the quality-price relation is ok. A "family" pizza is good for 4 guest who don't eat a lot... better for 3 :D and the sodas by bottle (1/2 litters or two litters) provide inexpensive drinks for all as long as you share :D Service is on the "not so good" side, but since you are there to eat it won't be too bad. PROS: Decent price, fast service CONS: Service, lack of variety on the menu.SUMMARY: Ok place for a pizza but not fancy and neither excellent by any measure in an expensive neighborhood.
