The Pisco Sours they make are really good. Plus this place us popular with the locals. The downside is that it us really dirty - with the waiters not caring a tiny bit for hygiene. Although, I must admit that hygiene is not something that is popular with El Chalten places in general so Kalem can be considered trendy in this regard.

The food at Yatel Pizza y Pastas is tasty. Not delicious, but good and filling. That's what is important. The service is not so great. When we visited, the waitstaff was in the weeds and the restaurant was not remotely crowded. We ordered wine and that threw our server off completely. Pleased with my meal though.

Stopped in for lunch on a windy day because the google reviews were good, but didn't have wifi to see that they were all in praise of the beers until after we got into the restaurant. Womp womp. Got a burger and a lamb sandwich. Neither was very good (lamb was overcooked, burger was large but lacking flavor) and even the fries were like the kind you get in the frozen food aisle. For a burger mood, go to B&B down the road. Maybe the alcohol here is amazing though? Service was nice though.

This is one of the places that I really recomend if you are visiting Chalten. The mood is super cool, the patagonian beer is great and the owners and bartenders give us lot of advices about the trails for our hiking trip.

The pizzas are just great!! Delicious!!! And different from anywhere with fresh ingredients. You can even choose 2 types of pizzas in 1 and share it with your partner! The service is like at home.

This restaurant appears to be one of the more established restaurants in town. Professionally designed, well managed, great pizza. Old photos of area mountain climbers adorn the walls.
