I went on a Friday night with friends to Toninho's for a celebration meal. They offer a wide selection of drinks and pizzas - many uniquely Portuguese or Brazilian in flavors. As a group of 6, we ordered 2 of the larger sized pizzas, each prepared with different halves so that we could sample more varieties. We had the Portuguese, the Marina (spelling?), the Calabresa and the Californian which turns out to be a dessert fruit pizza with cream cheese in place of a sauce.The thing I love about these pizzas is that they are served on thin crust, yet piled high with ingredients and have minimal sauce. Being used to America style pizzas that are drowned in the stuff, this was an amazingly refreshing change, as you could actually taste all of the ingredients and they were delicious! Enough cheese was used, but again, not overly so, resulting in a hint of flavor rather than a grease pit. There are alcoholic and soft drinks, as well as juices and a variety of water and tonics featured. I had a locally sourced fruit juice that was on the tangy side. Delicious. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive and we were left to our conversation and table for as long as we wanted - there was no hurry to rush us out. A delightful evening well-spent. I'd highly recommend anyone visiting Contagem, take an evening and visit Toninho's.

In the middle of a disappointing run in with the associated hotel (separate review) we stopped in for Pizza. The Pizza was extremely good (as was the beer). Initially the order came out incorrect (with onions) and although we felt we could deal with it as is - the server insisted on getting it right - and they did (and quickly). Overall excellent atmosphere, service and food.Hello ! Thank you for your evaluation, for us it is very important to know the opinion and satisfaction of our customers. O restaurante é bem amplo, ambiente simples mas com o diferencial de ser recebido pelo dono, o Bigode, de uma simpatia sem fim. O atendimento é ótimo.... a picanha é de comer rezando e a pizza excelente. Lugar muito familiar... fica muito cheio sempre. Vale a pena, preço justo com atendimento excelente.

Estive no local na quinta mais fria do ano, e não consegui lugar para sentar, somente na varanda, mas com criança não ia ser viável, e desisti. Mas o aroma dos pães e pizzas ficou impregnado em minhas papilas olfativas, rsVoltei num dia menos frio, sentamos dentro da casa, e pudemos apreciar o ambiente, o atendimento, os aromas e finamente os sabores.Positivamente surpreendida pela qualidade do pão de alho (ciabata!), e das pizzas.Comprei também uma foccacia para levar, e é deliciosa.Pretendo voltar para conhecer os burguers, e tomar do refrigerante artesanal, realmente muito bom.Só desapontou minha filha que pediu o brigadeiro e não era do tradicional hahaha mas ela comeu o meu brownie e tudo se resolveu.Fantástico, recomendo MUITO.

I was in Belo Horizonte for business, staying at a hotel connected to this restaurant. We pretty much ate every meal at this restaurant as the food is so good and the staff so friendly. My colleagues and I don't speak Portuguese, but they have an English version of their Dinner menu, and all though their lunch menu is not in English, the waiter brought one of the hotel staff over to help translate for us - so sweet! :) Great salads and risotto dishes - everything my colleagues and I ate at this restaurant we enjoyed! Definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to return!

Fiz uma avaliação em Fevereiro de 2015 e resolvi avaliar novamente, por ter visitado novamente em data recente. A qualidade, continua impecável, o atendimento também, novos pratos bem elaborados, como camarão grande no bafo excelente, uma bacalhoada muito boa e um salmão assado ao molho de alcaparra muito gostoso.Uma mudança, foi que a sobremesa que era incluÃda, passou a ser cobrada e o preço aumentou também, mas continuo recomendando e voltarei lá outras vezes. O nÃvel é muito bom, o custo benefÃcio é bom.
