Most Popular Pizza food in Brooklyn, New York, United States

Reviews on Pizza food in Brooklyn, New York, United States. It seems like most folks have a grandmother, great-uncle or some other distant relative that used to live in Brooklyn, or perhaps a friend that lives there now. In the early 1900s, it was a mecca for immigrants arriving via Ellis Island. A hundred years later, young professionals and artists left pricey Manhattan digs for Brooklyn's cheaper and more expansive space. Neighborhoods like Brooklyn Heights and Park Slope, which had fallen into disrepair over the years, were restored and reborn as funky enclaves. Walk or bike over the historic Brooklyn Bridge (or ride the subway) to Brooklyn Heights for a stroll along the Promenade and breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Meander through Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for a taste of nature in the urban wilds. Catch a performance at the world-famous Brooklyn Academy of Music. From the delicious Italian restaurants of Bensonhurst to the Irish bars that line the avenues of Bay Ridge, from the hotdogs and rollercoasters of Coney Island to the bagels and handball courts of Greenpoint, Brooklyn is a state of mind as well as a dynamic community. Discover why, no matter where people move on to, they remain Brooklynites at heart.

This place in Little Italy ranks quite well on TripAdvisor for places to eat so we thought it was a safe bet for lunch. We were seated quickly but when the food arrived the pizza base was very salty, burnt in places and we’d finished it by the time our side orders of fries arrived. There is only one toilet which is located at the back by the bins and kitchen area. Wish we’d kept on walking and found somewhere else instead.

This place is amazing! The real deal! I have never found a better restaurant in NYC! This is now my absolute favorite! Truly authentic food. Not only the most authentic Pizze Napolitane I've ever eaten (and rivals with some I've eaten actually IN Napoli) but pastas and appetizers are all unbelievably authentic and great quality. The entire restaurant has a feeling of love. Love for food, love for customers, love for life! I love this place!!! All the guys who work here have a wonderful sunny and friendly disposition and really understand customer service. They seem to love their customers and strive to make each customer feel special. With so few tables and such quality I hate to reveal these truths about the place and let out the secret because I always want to find "my table" and "my spot" here and return to find the same quality, prices, authenticity. Somehow I have a feeling this won't change. This place reminds me of how NYC used to be. This is old NY at its best. It's a great great place and if you've actually eaten in Napoli you will appreciate it even moreso. This place....!!! I love it!!! Special thanks to Luca/Lucca (?) for running the show and doing it so well!!!

Gino’s is a very popular restaurant, so be prepared to wait to be seated on weekends. There is a reason for this, and that is that the food is consistently excellent. In addition to an extensive menu, specials are featured. Linguine in white clam sauce was perfectly prepared, although there could have been more clams, and whole instead of chopped. Servings are large, with enough to take home. Service was excellent. The only downside is that when it is crowded, the noise level is high. I try to go during off times for that reason. All in all, excellent food, you won’t be disappointed. Parking is on the street and is sometimes a challenge.

We ordered their traditional pizza pie served in the rectangular tray. It was crunchy, tasty and rich. The sausage topping was also very good (finally sausage without fennel, so hard to find in the city!). Their tiramisu was not great, but we'd go back for the pizza.

Stopped for dinner, and it certainly did not disappoint. We sat right by the kitchen and it was good to see the traffic and watch all of the activity there. They have a dedicated GF area as well as dedicated GF fryers.I had the GF mozzarella sticks which was quite good for an appetizer. For my entree, I had Cacio e Pepe which was extremely fresh and tasty. The flourless chocolate cake with ice cream was a tremendous dessert to finish the meal. Our waitress was great and timely. Their other waitstaff was always ready to help, take a plate, or refill our drinks, etc. Definitely recommend this to others, especially is you are celiac/gluten free. I had zero issues and the food is wonderful.

We went for lunch on the basis of reviews. They opened at 1130 we got there at 1145 and got the last table. By the time we left there was a queue of about 20 waiting for tables. The pizza was excellent, thin as a good Italian one should be, cooked to perfection. You only get a limited number of toppings but not an issue. We ordered a medium hoping the people near us had ordered large but they hadn't. So medium is adequate for two people not idea what large is like. Service was friendly and efficient with an atmosphere like being in Italy.

If I could give this 7-stars I would. What was supposed to be a casual birthday dinner turned into an unexpectedly amazing night.Food-wise, the four of us started with the bruschetta and mushroom apps. Both really solid. I got the oregano pizza. As a huge za'atar fan, this might have been my favorite pizza toppings-wise I've ever had. The labneh is what really pulls it together. The pizza itself was very high quality.I was sitting next to a spaghetti carbonara aficionado. Its her litmus test at every Italian restaurant (and she's been to many). She said this was top-3 in the city. The four cheese gnocchi was out of this world. I only had a bite of the birthday boy's dish, but the gnocchi melted in my mouth and the cheeses were blended to perfection.Lastly, the chicken parm was supposedly excellent as well. We were all incredibly satisfied by our meals. At the table next to us were two women who had mouth-watering looking dishes as well. One of them was controlling the music in the restaurant. I'm not entirely sure how it happened, but she put on a song we requested, and we all started clapping and then dancing. Turns out she was the owner! She refilled our drinks, and brought out a birthday tiramisu with a HUGE sparkler. Just look at how happy the birthday boy is - the picture says it all!We ended up hanging out at the restaurant for several more hours. The owner, her friend and the staff were so much fun. Even a spilt glass of red wine and a ruined dress couldn't stop us. My face actually hurt from smiling and laughing so much.It was one of those magical hospitality moments that will stick with you for a long time. I'm certain you won't replicate our experience - and frankly, we couldn't either if we tried - but no matter what, this place is worth the visit.
