We ate in this restaurant-pizzeria the first night of our stay in Castelrotto. We arrived before 7:00 and the place was already quite crowded. We sat outside and we enjoied the sight of the amazing Schlern and Santner Spitze. The waitress was cheerful and very nice, the food (tirolean style: backerbsensuppe, polenta with mushroom and pariser schnitzel) arrived quickly and was very good. The price was more than reasonable: 34,00 euros for two adults and a three years old (the most impressive item was the water at 3,60 euros/liter...). The only detail that we didn't like: being technically seating "outside", people were allowed to smoke; a couple of tobacco-lovers were sitting next to us, fortunatly we ate very fast. It's definately a place I'd eat again and feel like recommending it to others.

Locals and tourists alike find this little place a good value for pizza, salad, and hearty plates. We like sitting outside for drinks, too. We've eaten here many times over the last ten years and are never disappointed. The atmosphere is casual but charming.

We went here for dinner one night on the advice of a staff member at the hotel we were staying at in Castelrotto. We shared a Caprese salad and a pizza. Food arrived very quickly. Salad was good but pizza was nothing special. Took forever to get our check and finally went up to the bar to ask for our bill. We were told at the restaurant that there would be a discount but because the hotel did not make the reservation, they would not honor the discount. Not impressed.

Typical local restaurant with a good choose of local dishes. The service, along with the location and the food are good! Unfortunately we arrived pretty late and since the day later the restaurant was going to be closed, only the starters were available from the menu. Nevertheless pasta was included and we had a pleasant dinner.

We got told from our hotelier that this place is worth while visiting. An indeed. We arrived a few minutes before 18.00 which is the time when Italian restaurants open for evening business. The garden was already almost packed with guests. We got served by a lady which spoke Italian and German very well. They have a wide selection of pizza also as whole grain version! Deliciously thin and crunchy too. It was a great experience to have found this fine spot in this tinny little village.

Pleasant interior and décor, but we were not wowed by the most important parts, the food or service. The menu has a small choice of meat dishes and the majority of dishes are either pasta or pizza. I ordered the pork chops from the menu but I got pork ribs. When I complained that it was not what I ordered the waitress did not even say sorry for the mistake. My comment was completely ignored.There was just a very thin layer of meat on these ribs and the meat was dry.In conclusion the place was expensive and not tasty at all.

I love this place and they make a really good pizza. I have been eating here for many years and it has only gotten better. Family-owned and operated, the cozy rooms inside or pleasant garden seating outside provide a perfect frame for a great and memorable experience. Reasonable prices and lots of local color!

Sehr gut geführtes Restaurant und nicht nur eine Pizzeria. Freundliche Bedienung, keine Wartezeit auf das Essen, riesiges Angebot an Pizzen. Geschmacklich waren die Pizzen (nur) überdurchschnittlich.
