This is the longest running, professional, family-run Mexican pizza business in Bacalar (about 10 years) and is in a hard to find location. It is a locals place and is quite an experience.There is no sign and no lights except within the restaurant. They have a huge and wonderful pizza oven. Crust is hand-rolled, could be crisper. You can ask for less cheese and more of the veggies. They are very willing to accommodate, a very friendly Mexican family. Cecilia is the daughter, Dad wears the chef's outfit but watches TV in his rocking chair, Mom trades off sitting in the rocking chair and working.

If you are here to enjoy Bacalar definitely you want to came and visit this place. Their owners Cindy and Bruno are the perfect match to make your dinner out night with friends just perfect. Argentine cuisine pizza and empanadas, beers and sodas. There is the Gaucha style with fries and an egg on it, if you're ready to make new friends while you are having dinner this is the place !! If your are lucky Cindy is such a great singer so you might enjoy a magic night with her voice.

We first came here for breakfast before going to the lake, there were only a couple of other clients but the chap that served us seemed harried and stressed. He all but tapped his foot while we looked at the menus. We ordered double espressos to give the poor chap something to do while we decided what to eat.One coffee arrived, then after 10 minutes, he brought the other one. Now I know I've been very spoilt living in France where table service is almost raised to an art form but... How difficult is it to bring 2 coffees out at the same time?They weren't exactly great either sadly.Still.. A couple of days later, I thought I'd take another chance and scope them out for dinner.I sat down and a smiling waiter brought me 3 menus, which was a really good start, unfortunately.. It went downhill from there.The same chap that served our coffees swooped over and all but bodily removed me from my table because he assumed I was alone. And sat me by the door... Where he could keep an eye on me? Who knows but it's not the ideal way to treat your paying customers.What he didn't realise was that I was waiting for 7 others to arrive..Needless to say we went elsewhere and we won't be back.

We went for dinner and order a pizza and one pasta dish for us to share between the two of us. Was very delicious and definitely filled our belly. There was music playing of a guitarist and singer that night, and was very appropriate and nice for the evening. Service was excellent, definitely worth checking out.

We have attempted a few times to eat here and always full. Now we know why. Homemade pasta cooked perfectly, fresh ingredients and olive oil that will make your tastebuds weep. We definitely plan on returning to taste the pizza! Owners were on the floor and ensured orders were taken quickly and promptly. We enjoyed our meal so much we decided to enjoy coffee and dessert. Fabulous atmosphere and delicious eats - you wonât want to miss this little taste of Italy tucked inside the magical town of Bacalar.
