After having come through the 48 hairpins on the road down from Passo dello Stelvio, Gomagoi or Stilfs was the first larger village we encountered. We stopped and parked our car about 100 m after we saw this restaurant to get a belated lunch. The place was quite busy as this was a Saturday with many going up to or down from Passo dello Stelvio. The food was alright and service was OK.

After a beautiful walk to this Rifugio (from Solda) this is just a stunning place to eat and drink something. The Kaiserschmarren is just delicious over here. If I'm on holiday in Solda this place stands always on my agenda.

Ottimo ristorante, che propone una cucina tipica della zona.Molto carino all'interno, ma noi abbiamo preferito mangiare all'aperto, in una graziosa piazza, all'ombra di un grande tiglio.Io ho mangiato un "tafelspitz", ottimo ed abbondante.Molto premuroso il servizio, svolto da cameriere carine.Alla fine, con il bere ed il dolce, conto di poco superiore a 25 euro.

We passed about 1 hour waiting in the Tibet Restaurant on the otherside of the Stelvio pass - so then we decided to go to this rifugio - as the path up to the Rifugio is not so easily to reach (you need to walk up for about 5-10 minutes) it is not full of the tourists. We got a warm welcome from the staff and they were very sorry that the could not serve us everything - but they made proposal to eat and we were happy about the choice, as the dishes were good.
