went to restaurant for lunch today..we were welcomes by Francesco. there was small language but we got there. quality of food excellent amazing entrecote steak and my husband had lovely pasta dish....hav booked to return next sat when our friend arrives form uk . thank you it was a really lovely lunch mike and barbara

We were directed to the Osteria Mat (or Matt) by the owner of Hotel la Villa. It was in a passageway located in a 400 year old building. We sat on a rooftop terrace and it was Magical! And the food was great. I would like to review it

We visited the Ca de Matt twice as we wanted to try some different dishes. There is a nice terrace one stair up. There is a sun/rain screen as peotection if needed. Nice and attending staff, little German/English, but it is Italy so you get along fine with the menue. Great wines and Grappas. We might come back again.

Fantastic food. Delicious. Portions are ginormous and good value. Best food that we have eaten in Italy.Worth the trip from como city to this off road little joint. Simply fantastic food!!!

Good family restaurant with good service. Pizzas are huge and would recommend for 2 with a side salad. Pasta dishes nice, in particular seafood one. We shared a meat platter to start and there was enough for 2 or 3 people.

We ate here and had a truly fabulous experience , the food wine and views over the lake were all superb! Sylvia is an excellent host and explains the food and wine - all part of the fixed price menu . I let her know when I booked that a vegetarian meal was required and that was sorted ! A lovely family atmosphere - all worth the journey up a very steep hill to get there!

We went with our 3 kids. The staff was really busy and did not manage to get the meals on the right order and at the right time. Pizzas were good but nothing special. Risotto was sooooo oily.... Nothing special and the view is not so nice...Buona sera Antonie...Sono molto dispiaciuta a leggere questa recensione..Il mercoledì sera da 5 anni a questa parte siamo soliti fare la promozione della pizza che ti permette di scegliere una pizza una bibita e un caffè a soli 10 euro...ovviamente il ristorante era pieno ma io personalmente sono subito venuta a prendere l ordine...e dato che la memoria non mi manca avete ordinato 3 baby margherite una speck e Zola e lei ha ordinato un riso al pesce persico....tutte queste pietanze sono arrivate insieme e di questo ne sono sicura io personalmente....Parla di olio nel riso?à fuori strada....trattasi di burro rigorosamente nostrano e salvia....Ricordo anche che vi siete seduti dentro dato che la nostra terrazza panoramica era completamente riservata e lei ha chiamato decisamente troppo tardi...ovviamente dall interno la vista non è bellissima....

Basic food, and basic menu ... perfect if you're indecisive about menus!!! Awesome spot up in the hills behind Dongo. A few other Crottos along the path also... only tried this one, but would be keen to give the others a go! Great place for lunch. A must do on a stay around lake Como.

Nothing can beet this site, right at the lakefront. Tucked away from the busy street. The Pizza is yummy and we loved their mixed fried fish - both from the lake and from the sea. We loved stumbling across this restaurant. The staff were so accommodating (we arrived after the official lunchtime serving hour and they adapted the menu to suit us as vegetarians). They clearly take great pride in their food and explained each dish and itâs origins. Weâd definitely go back.
