Food was very good and the restaurant was well laid out. Only downside was that it was the most expensive restaurant we ate in during our holiday and that was with a ten per cent voucher. Service was very good and my wife did noe want a dessert until she tasted mine and then she had one,Good afternoon! Thank you for the kind review. We go here every year for eating branzino alla griglia and drinking local white wine in the nice atmosphere of Desenzano's laguna. Though it is always very crowded, service is always friendly and good, too. Also the pizza here is recommendable. I reviewed this restaurant before, and this year had another opportunity to eat here a few times. The menus have changed (a little, and creatively so), but the mainstays remain available, like the wonderful Luccio with polenta and the horse steak. Coupled with the excellent wines from the vineyard (which is in the process of expanding) (and do try the Hirundo), the fabulous coffee and the not-to-be-spurned home-made grappa, there is no better way to end a day at a dining table than here!

The service in this place is absolutely appalling. The staff clearly donât want to be there. As far as food goes itâs hit & miss. My husband order a mixed fried seafood!!!! Really donât.... unless itâs for comedy value. Everything must just be thrown into the pan together. Some of the pieces couldâve been bounced off the ground it was so over cooked and some of the pieces had been coated & fried whilst still in their shells!!!! So given that there are MANY MANY restaurants around Iâd advise you to just find somewhere else to be honest. The drinks were nice and cold though .... when we eventually got them.

Overall the food in this restaurant was better than the others we visited. Not outstanding but very enjoyable and I would go back. Not the biggest place but this was quite refreshing compared to some restaurants built to serve volume. Get there a bit early to get a table

We were doing some winery visits in the area for Lugana wines and wanted a typical, out in the country kind of a restaurant and this just fit the bill. Our seafood crudo appetizers were very good as were the following main courses of pasta and local lake fish. The service could definitely be better (in Italy it usually is a lot warmer) but all in all we would definitely go back to eat here and so would my friends who were with me,

There is a lot more variety here than most Desenzano restaurants. Service very personal and friendly in a low key nice way. Food superb....try the prawns or the sea bass, pasta and burger looked good too. House white wine the best we've had here. Overall our favourite restaurant in the area and reasonably priced.

This restaurant is in the centre of Desenzano, a little hidden because it lays in an alley. Very good Italian food (lot of locals come here), friendly personal and not very expensive. We really loved it and are surprised nobody has written about it before

Maybe I misread the menu, but it wasnât quite what I was expecting.I had the mixed fish grill. I was expecting fried calamari, fried prawns, fried scampi (which I thought was a typo because that IS fried prawns) and Seabass.What I got was 2 boiled squid (body and legs) what Iâd call shrimp rather than prawns (theyâre bigger and you have to peel away the exoskeleton, head and tail) what I read as scampi was in reality scampo (I had to look this up and it is a kind of shrimp/lobster creature) and a fillet of Seabass (at least there was one thing here that I had expected to get)I donât like to make a fuss in a restaurant so decided to give everything a try.I like calamari, so figured the squid are just that without the batter.I have eaten shrimp before and enjoy them (I just donât eat them often because I believe taking them apart should be a chefs job, not the customers) and I ate the scampo because itâs basically the same thing just bigger.The Seabass was as every other review Iâve read here, deliciousâMaybe Iâd have been happier with the Seabass with baked potatoes? Live and learnSorry gentleman...But I don't know if You are taking joke of me or if You are really serious.You also took the picture of menu... Do you really don't know the difference about FRIED and GRILL???

No one of 7of us was there before and was a surprise.Full on Wednesday night, we ate very superb fish dishes...Mix of entrée to share and than a main course, who had a pumpkin delicious soup, who grilled fish, i had grilled monkfish and really enjoyed it!Last, but not the least, a choreographic dessert with ice cream and red fruits in a biscuit basket express prepared at our table by the owner! Spectacular!! Great job45⬠each is a honest price for a superb dinner
