This restaurant seems to be in a shell of an old International House of Pancakes restaurant. There is not much atmosphere or ambience here. However, we found the service quite friendly and the place felt very comfortable and down home. Thier Cadillac margaritas are terrific! We ordered the cheese crisp which was delecious. They have parking lot. Prices were reasonable. We are definately going back!

The staff is friendly and the food is what you expect. The chicken salad is still their best item I think with the cilantro dressing and the drive through is convenient

Stopped in a couple months ago. we ordered a pair of tacos off their menu.Tacos were good. Ambiance was cool as they played vinyl and had a number of punk rock posters on the wall. No fountain drinks only bottles. Picnic benches for seating. Want to see this place succeed but question if the owners do. They are walking distance from popular weekend bar in Blue Moon but Epic tacos closes at 8. They have a facebook page now but little social media presence otherwise and no website

Used to be in a shack in La Crescenta whose parking lot was always full of small trucks loaded with landscaping gear at lunch time. Everything is made to order; dolce tamales cannot be beat. And if you want heat, they are happy to accomodate.

We love their "Green" sauce in their dishes. Light, cheezy, mild, and very likeable. Very very good Green Chile Relleno, excellent "Chicken Enchilada Ranchera ala Carte" for a light meal with the green sauce. My favorite for a light lunch. Ample chips with red salsa, either spicy or mild.Manny & Ana's motto: Abuelita’s RecipesWe are not big on the heavy Mole sauces nor the Red Spicy sauces, so their Ranchera sauce really fits our pallet. When we are in a more celebratory mood, we choose the "Shrimp Enchilada", chock full of baby shrimp in a mushroom cream sauce. Typically two Enchiladas, but we "share" it and it is quite sufficient for our needs. Coupled with their margarita, we are well sated without being over stuffed.Manny and Ana are super friendly, making this restaurant like 'old home. A bit of a "Cantina" atmosphere especially with the area off the main dining room. We've been regulars since they took over almost 2 decades ago. Sunday brunch served.

I love to shop local and find the little known shops that only the "insiders" seem to know about. Tucked away in a little street surrounded by auto repair shops and boutiques, you wouldn't even notice it as you drove by. They've been in business since 1955 and they're still there. They have both sit in and carry out dinners. On this trip, I had the Carne Asada Quesadilla, There was so much food I didn't think I could eat it all.A must go to place for Mexican food in Montrose.

This is not a large restaurant...it's situated in the Montrose Shopping Park, a quaint area. Our margaritas were OK...nothing special or outstanding. We ordered a mexican pizza which we did not care for...it was piled high with toppings and it seemed like a mess. Our cheese crisp (off the menu) was not that great...it could have been more crispy. Everything had slices of avocado on it. Atmosphere was fair...it felt like an American restaurant that has been redecorated south of the border style. There is plenty of parking in the back of the place...in the front there is some, but scarce, street parking. There is a back entrance.

In Flintridge and decided to try this recommended eatery. Ordered off of lunch menu and maybe that was the wrong way to go. I had the combo with a pork tamale and chicken enchilada. Both had very dry fillings and sauce was barely there. Spouse had a couple of beef tacos and again filling was dry. Chips and salsa good. Wait staff super and attentive. Nice atmosphere. Might give the place another go at it.Thank you for your honest feedback, Steve. We're glad to hear your experience with us was good. We're taking into consideration your suggestions and will definitely talk to our kitchen staff about your orders. We're always looking to improve where we've missed the mark. Do not hesitate to ask your server for a new order if you're not enjoying your meal. We hope you give us another chance to impress you with different options in our menu.
