Don’t let the location fool you, you will find some solid Tex-mex here of the highest quality. Great care is taken in the preparation and high quality, fresh ingredients are used. The owner is the chef and runs a tight kitchen. Many options to choose from on the menu, including a clever “create your own” option. Everything we tried was excellent. Service is attentive. Rita greets guests as she works her way through the tables to ensure your meal was great. There is a definite reason why the food editor of the Houston Chronicle gave it a glowing review.

We honestly stumbled upon this place as where we were going was closed.. really glad we found! we were greeted and seated quickly. The Watermelon Margaritas are good and refreshing... we had the tortilla soup and combination plates. Soup was very large, flavorful with lots of veggies and chicken. Combination plate had all the favorites to choose from. Cheese enchiladas were really good and made with cheddar cheese, not American that you find at many places. The sopapillas were very good and a must! Enjoy eating at this family owned restaurant:)We will definitely be back!

We had a family gathering and there were enough menu choices that everyone could order what they desired. The food was generally good but on the expensive side (entrees ran from $10-$20). The service was above average and we were pleased. The restaurant was cold, so be prepared. The parking is a challenge, and the onsite parking is limited, so during a peak hour you might have to park on the street.

My wife and I had a gift certificate to use at Fish and Camaron so we took advantage of that this past Friday (March 10, 2017) evening. I had put the address into my GPS to navigate to the restaurant. When the GPS said that we had arrived, we could not locate the restaurant. We actually drove passed the restaurant, then turned around and my wife spotted it. It is located in a "strip" center with a couple of other medical field related business. It was very hard to find; however, we found it and are glad we did. The restaurant itself is very small with limited seating, but please don't let that stop you. And I will say, the Chips were very good! They almost looked like fried plantain chips. They were not greasy or hard to eat at all. Sometimes you get chips that act like you are biting into leather, but not these. You can also determine and choose what Salsa(s) you want with your chips. For starters, we ordered Chips and Salsa and the Vuelve A La Vida cocktail. The Chips were very good! They almost looked like fried plantain chips. They were not greasy or hard to eat at all. Sometimes you get chips that act like you are biting into leather, but not these. You can also determine and choose what Salsa(s) you want with your chips. The Vuelve A La Vida cocktail consisted of a cup full of your choice of Ceviche or Shrimp (which ours came with both) with their signature cocktail sauce, chopped tomatoes, cilantro, diced avocado, and olive oil. This came recommended by a friend and it was REALLY GOOD!I could not decide what I wanted for my entree, so I went with what my wife ordered for herself, the Fish Sandwich and I am so glad that I did!! This was one of THE BEST fish sandwiches I have ever eaten from anywhere! It was simple; two fried fish pieces (more like patties but not rounded, your choice of fried or grilled) served on a warm bun with lettuce and tomato. I asked one of the workers when she walked by what type of fish they use and she said Swai. The fish was so flaky and tender, it just melted in your mouth with each bite. Both pieces were thick; however, was not tough at all to the bite. Fish and Camaron may be known for their tacos, but you cannot go wrong with the Fish Sandwich. It was DELICIOUS!!The restaurant is a drive for us; however, was well worth it!! If you are out in the area or live in The Woodlands and have not tried Fish and Camaron, then what are you waiting for? You won't be disappointed!

This has been our go-to Mexican restaurant for years, but unfortunately, Thomas made our evening at Rancho Grande a disappointment. We were here to celebrate, and the food was very good, but Thomas was aloof and inattentive to almost rude. When we were almost finished eating, and he brought the check and a to-go box; never even offered the dessert menu.

How many variations are there with Mexican cuisine? Well they topped it with some amazing dishes. Our favorite was the fried avocado on their specials menu, how they did it I am not sure but they also accommodated our large party of family members in a very friendly manner. In fact the entire place was like a big family, service was outstanding too. On top of this they were able to adjust the menu for my wife's dietary challenges with a smile, and did not make her feel like a "problem" as many restaurants do, thank you. Thank you so much, archi2m, for your nice review. We're glad to hear how much you and your family enjoyed dining with us. It is good to hear that everything from the food and service are good. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

We hadn’t been to this location or their others in quite awhile so thought we would give it a try. They have tons of options on the buffet including tacos, several types of enchiladas, several soups, carne asada, carnitas, tortas, flautist and quesadillas. Also several kinds of eggs such as cooked with chorizo, ham, and a few other combinations.Where is food selections were quite a few to choose from, The service was horrible... we waited at front door for a few minutes as there was no one there...Then we waited and waited for someone to come to the table to get drink order or tell about the buffet. After waiting too long ended up getting up and going to buffet, and then asking for coffee and water. I ended up making my own mimosa as no one was at the station. The Champagne was so bad I couldn’t drink.... Upon leaving we found out they had omelets, pancakes, crepes etc... from another station in an adjoining room.We never had an actual server it seemed... probably won’t be going back at almost $15 each and having to get up to ask for coffee and water, as well as ask for refills
