Things to do in Ligonier
We stop here whenever we drive through Ligonier. We love the Jarritos and the old fashioned Pepsi in the tall glass bottles. The food is all freshly prepared and service has always been quick, and friendly wait staff. The restaurant is in the same building as the grocery store of the same name, but is a full service restaurant, not a grocery store cafe.I like the Mexican style tacos best, with lots of cilantro and onions. My husband likes the fajitas, and my daughter likes quesadillas. The chips are fresh and salsa is good.
El Pacifico is a bright clean Mexican cafe with a huge menu and delightful food. I ordered the queso enchiladas, ask for onion to be inside and the red sauce. (Tex Mex style) they were very accommodating, and the result was fantastic. I ordered carry out of steak tacos âMexican styleâ which is with onion & cilantro, and my darling reported they were perfectly prepared. My lunch mate ordered a shrimp enchilada dinner and loved it, too. The rice was delicious. Hoping to visit again someday soon.
Loved this family restaurant. They don't serve alcohol so be forewarned but if you want authentic and really good Mexican food in the heart of lake and Amish country, this is your place. My brother and I had enchiladas Rojas, my mom had a torta, my sister had fajitas and we all loved the food.Try the agua fresca, I had the melon and it was so refreshing and good. Hours are limited so plan ahead. They have Mexican Cokes and other drinks too. The bill was very low and I tipped a lot more than most I guess (20%) because she wanted to give some back.Go!Thanks for the great review! We hope you and your family come back.
This was the first Mexican place I've tried in Ligonier, and there are many to go. The food was okay but noting special. The server was nice enough but not great. They charge you for chips and salsa, which goes against the industry standard. Their soda is sold by the can and the dining room is forgettable at best. There was nothing awful but I wish there was an option between poor and average because that would be my honest vote.
