First Off - This is La Espiga, the Latin Grocery, NOT Servicio Azteca, the restaurant.I learned long ago to follow the workers for a good meal. Road workers, plumbers, field hands, farmers, policemen, local military, and average Joe often line up inside the store to place orders. The line can easily wrap around through the butchers at the back of the store. The Food (that's why you're here, right?): You're not going to go wrong. The tacos, burritos, and tortas are all good choices. I've never had a bad meal here. First time and nervous? Burrito de Carne Asada or Pork Carnitas or Chipotle con frijoles (add some queso!). Vegetarian? Chili Relleno and frijoles! Adventuresome? Llengua tacos. Want a sandwich? Try a Torta de Carne Asada! It's awesome. The Service: The ladies behind the counter are friendly and patient and will answer most any question you have. Spanish is generally primary, but mine's terrible, and they put up with me really well. Just be polite, and you're in good hands. The Value: It's tough to beat a burrito or a set of 4 x tacos or a handmade torta sandwich that could feed a couple for the prices these folks charge. The food is made with care, and it truly shows.Bottom Line: This place is hands-down the best place to get a good lunch (especially to-go) in town. If you want Mexican food, and don't mind eating outside or taking it with you, I'd send you here before anywhere else in town. You'd rather sit down? Step next-door to Servicio Azteca! You won't be disappointed either way.

My wife and I went on a Sunday morning after church. They were very busy but we were served pretty quickly. The servers were friendly and efficient. They have both traditional American type breakfast and many Mexican offerings. We had the Migas and I ordered a side of pancakes to try them. The food was excellent and the pancakes are awesome! The place is brightly decorated and it's easy to find. We have lived in the area for almost 2 years but had never tried it. Very happy to have found this place, we will be back!

Been traveling to Clovis approximately eight times a year for business since 2002. Haven't yet found better Mexican food yet. I remember ordering Enchiladas New Mexican, green with two eggs over medium at La Hacienda in Old Town Albuquerque in 1962...I was eight at the time. I love me some Mexican food, yes I do. But, the SAFE BET in Clovis is still Good Ole' Taco Bell...

Huge menu that includes breakfast. Traditional mexican favorites. If you ask, the waitress will gladly explain some of the items. Speedy service. Very friendly. The only bad part is parking. Certainly not their fault Gotta love a wait staff that donates their tips to a cause. Thanks for the experience.

A group of us stopped here for lunch after our business meeting. The place was crowded but we did not have to wait long to be seated. The chips and salsa were brought to our table quickly. I had the stuffed sopapillia and it was delicious. It came with beans and choice of red or green chili. I had the green and it was wonderful.

We were travelling from Lubbock and hadn't eaten. We gained an hour so it was only 9 AM in Clovis. Not much was opened but the Taqueria was and the food was good and the service excellent. My huevos rancheros were different than any i had had before and but they were OK. My wife loved the Jalisco omelette. It certainly satisfied our hunger.

We have been by here a jillion times and never saw it. Our loss. We discovered it because my brother-in-law took us here for breakfast. There were six of us and I think we all ordered different menu items. All were really good. Portions are large -- even if you order off the kid's menu -- and everything was well prepared and well presented. I can definitely recommend the place. It is right on Prince Street which is one of the busiest streets in Clovis, so I don't know how we missed it.. Check it out. I don't think you will regret it.

When visiting Clovis, I almost always have at least one meal at Leal's. Their restaurant in Muleshoe, TX is also good. Great salsa, crispy chips, and a good chile relleno with rice and beans for a reasonable price -- I wasn't disappointed! A friendly waitstaff adds to the meal.
