food was good and plentiful, lots of seafood to pick from; more expensive then many other restaurants we have been to. the view is exceptional and service very good. considering cost I would expect the plates to be pre-heated for seafood (which cools quickly). no wine by the glass, do have 1/2 bottles and big selection of wines. very delicious deserts and port, worth going for the view and elegance.

When walking the streets of Peninche we found an empty table for four on this little small terrace just under the little tower with working clock (rings every 15 minutes) and decided to go for lunch. A perfect lunch with great seafood and alentejo pork. Wonderful food and great service made this a perfect lunch stop.

The placeâs situated right at the entrance to the historical part of the village, with a nice view over the beach, which looks fascinating both in the daylight and in the evening, with artificial lighting. Looks really authentic. The food is delicious, reasonably priced. Service is good.

Reservation for dinner 2 hours before. Extremely helpful, friendly and professional waitress. Clean, neat and comfy space with no special details in the interior. Rich menu, especially fish and seafood part. Excellent and delicious appetizers, followed by fresh octopus and fish. Very cheap

This restaurant is a bit difficult to find, you probably need a navigator. But itâs worth it, we had a lovely family lunch.For starters we shared clams and shrimps - excellent choices both. Several of us wanted to try out the local rice delicacy our waitress recommended. The taste was fine but the lay-out was strange: fish soup- type of dish with rise in it. I had imagined a paella or similar.Thereâs a small supermarket, convenient if you need to refill your stock.

This place makes us want to return to Portugal purely to have another meal here. With the setting and ambience of a laid back beach cafe, the dedication to food quality is anything but laid back. These guys are passionate about the fish, the wine and your experience. Super friendly welcome, the freshest fish, fantastic wine and cocktails and beautiful sunset views, itâs a yaaaaas from us!!!

We enjoyed dinner here. The fish soupe and the octopus from my spouse was formidable. My vegetarian curry (based on pumpkin) was very nice, although a little bit sweet. The wine was excellent and staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. The choice for dessert was very large. Thank you. We would come back.

Lola's is brand new, open for just a month, and is a very welcome addition to the dining scene in Peniche, offering an innovative and deliciously delivered menu of items to share or consume separately.Alexander (Chef) is from Italy. Alexandra (all things front of the house) is from Spain and the menu of about a dozen items combines Italian and Spanish influences with their love of Asian cuisine. Perhaps the best example is a Wanton Lasagna, a classic Bolognese sauce infused around crispy wanton crackers, topped off with melted cheeses and a house-made tomato sauce â a delicious, light take on lasagna. However, we also enjoyed a chilled, creamy Spanish tomato soup, hummus and beef cheeks with a mushroom sauce, and then a decadent and delicious chocolate & chocolate & chocolate dessert.Lola's is located on the outskirts of Peniche near the surfing beaches, making parking convenient. It is a bright space cheerfully furnished with light wood tables. It is medium size and can probably seat about 50 patrons.Alexandra is a lovely host, fluent in English and, apparently, French, as well as her native Spanish. She welcomes guests as if into her own home and explains the menu selections beautifully. She also knows a thing or two about wine and we enjoyed a delicious Spanish red wine, the quality of which belied its 23-Euro price. In fact, all prices seemed very reasonable to us.In short, service was excellent, cuisine innovative & delicious and prices modest. Highly recommended.Thank you so so much Mick for your lovely words. We're so moved. We're very happy you enjoyed your dinner at Lola. Feedback as yours give us all the strengh and energy to keep working hard and give our best everyday. This is only fish, and shell fish. It is pricey. If you want shell fish or fish simply prepared you will like it.
