Just returned from our second visit to this lovely restaurant. The first was in June and was equally good. The service and setting are excellent. We had live music which was of a good standard and the food was excellent. I had the buffalo mozzarella which was about the best I have ever had. The fish was delicious and the cheese was outstanding. The lady in charge was charming and whilst she spoke excellent English was patient and kind enough to suffer our excruciating attempts at French all night. Highly recommended.

we have been here many times and as ever the service was first class, very welcoming and not at all pushy. The menu initially looks a little limited and different but we all had fantastic meals, really top quality cooking and clean plates all round. They accommodated our 12 year old son by cooking him a plate of pasta as he didn't like the menu. The deserts were fabulous. I had the cafe gourmand which was superb. Great wine as well, all in all another great meal here with very inventive and different cuisine which never disappoints.

Very disappointing lunch experience indeed. It ruined our morning out by frustrating us beyond measure. Slow, slow service. We waited over 20 mins for anyone to take our order in this cafe style family-run restaurant. In the end I had to call a staff member over and insist they took our order! It's the same old French problem with so many of this type of beach cafe - they succeed in business because the location is so good, but the service is poor and the staff always favour their favourite customers and take their orders first and serve their meals first. When the meal eventually came it tasted very good and that's why I'm not giving this place a one star rating. But lots of customers were waiting a long time for service and food. The barman did a good job and we were served drinks reasonably quickly - but the waitresses bringing drinks weren't allowed to take food orders and this caused big delays and much frustration. We even had real problems paying the bill (having failed to catch the eye of anyone to take an order for coffee for at least 15 to 20 mins). It was impossible to get them to come to our table with a little card machine, so after another 15 minute wait we walked over to the poor overworked barman and he obligingly did the honours for us. No chance we ever return there.

We had visited this restaurant two years go when last in St Aygulf. It was good then, but now it has changed hands and is just excellent. All the food was superb and the attention to detail certainly makes this a fine dining experience. Everything we had was faultless - and my husband is food philistine and oh s hard to please, but even he could find no fault with anything and we just cant wait to return.Thank you very much for your words! They go directly to ours hearts. We are very happy that our style enjoy you and will be very happy to receive you again in our restaurant Le Dit Vin.Thank you again and see you soon!Fabrice Borrel

A Tavola Con L'Italia

We came here on a Saturday during the Summer. It was packed with the local Italian club but we were told that it may take a while, but we should relax and not worry about it. There was entertaining live music throughout the day and our waitress was very funny. After quite a long time our main courses arrived but during our wait we got drinks and bread to keep us going until the food came and when it came it was delicious! We all had pasta dishes and they were freshly made and it was the best pasta we’d eaten in a very long time! We then ordered dessert and we had amazing apple tart and tiramisu. This was an incredible restaurant with amazing live music and dedicated and hilarious staff! We would recommend this restaurant to anyone, except if you’re looking for a quick meal. If you come to this restaurant and are waiting a long time relax, don’t worry and be patient because the food is more than worth the wait. Thank you for an amazing lunch and a brilliant experience. Hopefully we will be able to come again soon!thank you for the thought of having written to us, I was forced to make you wait a little because people were so many and I was trying to satisfy everyone in some way, my mother thanks you and certainly will not change the recipes will continue to cook as all Italian mothers do.until next time
