Staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel, I took my evening meal here with a glass of wine and a pizza. The wine was good but there is a very limited selection even with their iconic wine tower. The pizza had a soggy center crust but was otherwise fine. Service was definitely subpar. It took 3 visits from the waiter before he brought a menu. And nobody ever checked to see how the meal was after it was served. Iâm sure theyâll continue to have diners because of the captive audience at the airport based hotel but definitely not a destination to seek for an expensive meal.

At the end of a two week trip throughout Europe, my husband and I made reservations at Za'atr to enjoy a last meal before we headed home. We arrived just before 7pm in the very small restaurant (only 4 tables inside) and proceeded to order the mezze platter for two. We got to choose 4 cold dishes and 3 warm dishes and it was CHF 63. The food arrived quickly and totally blew us away with its flavor and freshness. The falafel were the best we've had outside of the Middle East!!! While the restaurant may not look like much from the outside or inside, trust me, it is a hidden gem that you simply must visit! If you would like a seat, I would suggest making reservations which I was able to easily make via email. Definitely stop here while in Zurich if you love Lebanese food!

The food was good, the reservation was smooth, but in general we were very underwhelmed and are puzzled by the fantastically high rating on tripadvisor, which is why we wanted to share a review. This is a restaurant that we would have found by the dozens in London or Singapore where we used to live. The food was fresh and it was very tasty, but the menu was very limited and we could actually not find anything we liked (Vitello Tonnato as the only meat option when there are at least 2 overpriced ravioli dishes, for example; and for fish only the raw tartar...all of this is way too taste-specific and there was non dish that would suit a more general palate. The menu changes every month, and it had changed on that particular day with the menu not available on the website...we actually saw other parties sit down and ask about items on the menu and leave again, but we decided to stay). Desert was also overpriced and not that great. We had a table outside, which was on the sidewalk with many people walking by very close to us (and given it is adjacent to Langstrasse, these people were sometimes not very pleasant or asking us for money). In general, this is a very expensive option for a night out, food is good, but we were looking for an anniversary dinner/special experience, which is clearly was not.Dear chooun14Thank you so much for your review. Now everyone likes there pizzas differently however this pizza was absolutely fantastic, the crust was nice and thin and the toppings were delicious and fresh! We also had the bruschetta and tiramisu! Highly recommend this place if youâre keen for a large and quality meal!

The cabbie couldn't really find the place because it was not what he was really looking for, I believe. And my wife and I felt more or less the same way. But there it was; not very impressive on the outside, and the inside was only slightly better. But the service was marvelous and the food was superb. The wine list was pretty good, too, BUT -- like everything else in this wonderful old city -- EXPENSIVE. This restaurant did everything right! Service was impeccable from the start to finish. After drinks and dinner were ordered, bread was served and some focaccia stuffed with prosciutto. After that we were surprised with some brochettes. We noted that all there pasta was homemade and from local ingredients and free range chicken eggs. There were eight of us and all of our meals were superb. When dinner was done another surprise came...limoncello for each of us! We had been on vacation for sixteen days and this was the best restaurant/meal that we had. Congratulations Ristorante Mercato.

This is the hotel restaurant in the Park Inn by Radisson, near the Zurich Airport. The Park Inn is a relatively "low end" Radisson property, so the quality of this restaurant was a surprise (a nice surprise) to us. Excellent pasta and pizza, with good service.
