Cedars Lebanese Restaurant

Floor was sticky, water tasted like bleach, restaurant kitchen smells wafted into dining room that were reminiscent of a kitchen sponge on the verge of getting thrown out. Also, we put in a gin martini order and they delivered a vodka martini 30 min later, the server was clueless when we asked for hummus (top item on menu). We accidentally first sat in the hookah bar next door which is also part of the restaurant. When we said we don’t want hookahs, just appetizers and drinks, we were asked to move to the other side. Not going back.

Roanoke needed this place! The food and the service is amazing. The owner makes you feel like an old friend from day one. They have the best Tzatziki sauce ever and I believe that I may be addicted. I have been to several Greek restaurants and since coming here no other place adds up. Parking is limited, but worth the effort.

Bethlehem Restaurant and Grocery

Excellent food in a small restaurant and grocery store! My husband and I found Bethlehem Restaurant on TripAdvisor while visiting Roanoke. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection! We had the hummus, lamb kabob platter and kufta kabob platter. The platters come with a very flavorful rice and a fresh “salad” that is made of cucumber, pickled red cabbage, onions, parsley, tomatoes and mint tossed in a very light dressing. The grocery section is filled with many interesting foods and spices! Do not judge this restaurant by the outward appearance of the building! Seating is limited to four booths. Highly recommend that you give it a try if you love Mediterranean food!

Traveling through Virginia on my way south, I was craving Indian food but not expecting much. I was delighted with my lamb vindaloo, hot as requested, and the assorted vegetable appetizers were perfectly prepared. Service was friendly and professional. Nice atmosphere. Good stuff indeed.

Located at the end of a tiny strip mall dominated by a gas station, who would expect to find a gem of a restaurant? Tastefully decorated, with ample seating inside as well as on the veranda, this restaurant serves delicious food. From a tasty mushroom appetizer to excellent desserts, the three of us enjoyed a variety of dishes in between. Everything was yummy. The servers were helpful, the owners checked on us - the entire dining experience was fantastic. And best of all, the menu offerings provide an opportunity to try items not seen everywhere else.
