If you are looking for a 'Vera Pizza Napoletana'â¦â¦ in this Pizzeria they are able to help you. Excellent! The restaurant is a little outdated and way of the road, but who cares, it is always a pleasure to find a place where the know how to make a real tasty pizza (sounds simple, is not). Bravo!

a cena in questo locale con amici.Appena si entra la sensazione che il locale trasmette non é il massimo.in due parole..locale senza una propria identita.Decidiamo per un GiropizzaL'unica cameriera presente nel locale che penso conti circa 50 coperti ci serve le 5 pizze ordinate.Che dire la pizza è molto stile napoletano.. Per cui a chi non piace la massa/pizza napoletana...morbida e con cornicione... Occhio... Ma essendo per me la preferita l'ho mangiata con molto piacere.Per quanto concerne la pizza in se per se... Buona... ma nulla nulla di eccezionale..solo una buona pizza napoletana ben fatta/condita.Al momento del conto la sorpresa..Assolutamente sopra la media...a mio avviso non giustificato..Ho eccepito il totale dello scontrino...tanto per capire..Le motivazioni del titolare...Ma noi usiamo solo prodotti freschi e di buona qualita...Mi è usita in automatico....E CI MANCHEREBBE...morale/voti della serata:LOCALE:5 PIZZA:7TITOLARI:5CAMERIERA:10(che forza da sola sta piccoletta porta avanti 50 coperti con grande maestria BRAVA)

A friend bring me to meet this place and I had one of the greatest sensorial experience involving restaurants. The options in the menu, but the recipes are unique in the presentation and taste. Also you have the opportunity to enjoy great wines served with a serious commitment to quality. The youngest wine were 10 years... The maitre is a gentle young man and will inform and serve you only if the quality is at expected level. If you're close or passing by stop here for a dinner.

We came to the little town of Melfi because we needed to be near the birthplace my wife's grandfather (Ruvo del Monte). The best hotel I could find was in Melfi. The owners recommended Las Grotta Azzurra, and we were totally amazed by the service, the wine selection and the beautifully/tastefully prepared dishes. We were told that codfish was one of the major items on the menu, which caused me some concern. I am not a big fan of codfish. The waiter spoke enough English to help guide us through the menu. He was extremely patient and polite.I have learned from my travels that I should always experience the specialties of the area I visited. The cod was extraordinary along with the amazing sauces and other preparations. I never thought I would be writing about cod ravioli, but there it was right in front of me. I really don't know how many Americans, and for that matter, people from most other countries would visit Melfi, but if they do, I strongly suggest they make a reservation and enjoy this very special restaurant. It is very rare for me to visit the chef after a great meal to say "thank you."

As usual when discovering a restaurant through locals, I have been lucky! The food was excellent and you will not get up hungry. Good quality of the house wine too.

We were rescued by the the Al Boschetto owners who agreed to serve a dinner in Sunday evening. Its a nice little place with a list of local specialties, simple though extremely tasty. And, yes, we tried Basilicata Aglianico bianco here!
