My boyfriend and went to this restaurant last night, and found the food extremely delicious, just the right portions, and the atmosphere to be very cozy and romantic. We had red house wine, with candles and bread brought to our table. He had a little trouble tearing open the bread, apparently because it was several days old...so that's one strike against them. He paid, so I can't say how much the bill was - but apparently it was much more than he had anticipated. After having read the other reviews here on TripAdvisor, I would imagine for two plates + wine + appetizer, it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 euros. The restaurant is super tiny and located in the historical part of "old Feltre". When you go up the enormous staircase, the restaurant is right at the foot of it. There are only five tables in the whole establishment, and the waiter delivers the menu to you orally, as there is no menu to see - perhaps another strike against you as you don't get to see the prices, although there are a few items listed on a chalk board on the outside window. We ordered the salami/proscutto platter to share as the appetizer, and for our main courses, he had polenta, with a cheese potato cake and a sausage hamburger, with what we believed to be eggplant on the side. Whereas I ordered one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time, which was the beef with rosemary and balsamic vinegar and roasted potatoes. I cannot say enough how absolutely delicious the meat was! The only small problem I had at the very beginning, was that - for me - it was undercooked, so after asking if he could cook it a little more they did it with pleasure.The appetizer was alright, the salami was good but not the proscutto crudo that they served. The main dishes were delicious and the atmosphere, again, was cozy and intimate. The waiter was friendly and my highest compliments to the place go to the chef! I would highly recommend it to people who are visiting Feltre, or want to go out for a special occasion - but are willing to spend a little more than expected.

To tell the truth I was not expecting much from this restaurant but I was proved totally wrong ! Honestly I visited this place with a Groupon voucher and what we got were generous portions and especially very high quality seafood. Fantastic mussels, ultra fresh served in a delicate their own spicy gravy followed by tasty reef spaghetti ( "spaghetti allo scoglio" : classic seafood pasta made with different crustaceans and shellfish ). Excellent house white wine and a great "meringata" ( meringue "Italian" pie ) with coffee. Nice and friendly atmosphere. Prices are extremely reasonable. A place to be back.

The exterior is unassuming when the restaurant is open, even more so when it is closed. The decor is modernist and simple with ample space between tables. Menu has a decent selection, and translated versions are available. Very good price fixe meny with a tasty selection. The food is made by a highly competent chef, but doesn't have the flare that would push it up to a five. The atmosphere is unhurried and calm, definitely a place to visit and enjoy several times.Thank'you!We appreciate your opinion and we are happy to know you too!

700pm reservation for restaurant recommended by owners of Villa Rosa. Tremendous view toward historic old town Feltre. Difficulty with first server not understanding English resulted in new server, Lorella. What a gem she was! Good selection of wines-we chose a regional-very good. Slow translation of menu had three of four of us order pastas for primi-all excellent. Secundo course brought pizza, steak dishes that were excellent also. Shared desserts were fantastic. Best meal of 9 days in Italy! Highly recommend!

It is a small place, run by a funny bunch of people. It serves seasonal dishes and there are always vegetarian and lactose-intolerant options. The desserts are home made and delicious. My personal favourites are the "tagliata al radicchio", "finocchi alla curcuma" and pasta with seafood. The is also a nice selection of wines and liquors. One has to book in advance on weekends, the place is small, very popular and it gets packed easily. don't be surprised if they ask you to share a table with strangers, it happened to me too and it can be quite fun...

It was warm enough to sit outside and take in the panoramic views. Inside the ristorante there is a fire and it is nice and cosy for cooler days. Gioi cooked us an excellent meal starting with gorgonzola salad and cured meat, followed by Venetian liver and smoked pork both very tender, finishing with pistacchio semifreddo. It was a beautiful meal accompanied by a glass of prosecco. There was plenty of choice for each course. Gioi looked after us like a member of family. A short 10 minute car journey outside Feltre up in the hills in a small village by a church overlooking the mountains and valley. It is well worth a visit. We chanced on this restaurant when we pulled into town late one night looking for a hotel and food. This restaurant is next to La Casona Hotel. The food was so good the best I'd had in weeks of travel and with 3 of those being in Italy the best Italian food. The staff are very warm and welcoming. Prices are reasonable. Enjoyable experience.

I confirm my positive first review of last Summer. Today the best dishes (beside the 'usual' Sicilian langoustines) were two pasta primi, one of rigatoni with lamb ragout and artichokes, the other of spaghetti with 'small clams' (lupini in Italian). The ragout was well made, and the clams were abundant in their nice sauce of garlic olive oil and chili. Except for a little overcooking of the rigatoni, these were perfect dishes.Good but not so spectacular were two mains of seabass and shi drum (ombrina), one simply baked, the other in 'guazzetto' (fish sauce with tomato). The accompanying vegetables were, however, lovely, notably a plump and tasty radicchio.Desserts were interesting, a chocolate sphere (outer crust of dark chocolate with cocoa butter inside) and a yoghurt mousse, walnut 'pan di Spagna' (sponge cake) and persimmon puree.Also very good breads and coffee. Prices definitely are above the 'trattoria' level but below the high end restaurants, while the quality of the food (and ambience) is much closer to the latter! Service is very competent and friendly.All in all, a place worth even a bit of a travelling to sample excellent Italian cuisine at reasonable prices

Introduced to Alpina 1954 Ristorante Pizzeria by Giovanna and Riccardo the other night I decided to come for a drive and take some photos. Great views, delicious food, pleasant and helpful staff. Now decided to stay for lunch it has turned out such a beautiful day but did resist the dolce (sweets). Just an illy cafe (coffee) âï¸. Great coffee to go with the great motto they have âlive happily â

What a great find in Feltre. Mattia opened Bandalarga 3 years ago. We ate lunch sitting outside on the terrace where there is space for about 30 diners. Quiet location with nice views. The weekly menu was excellent - each dish was appetising making the choice hard. High quality ingredients. We had the filet steak with roast potatoes and grilled vegetables and a pasta with pesto. A nice cold beer. Very friendly service. Highly recommended.
