Conosciamo da anni questo vero e proprio "presidio" della gastronomia picena.Purtroppo lo frequentiamo soltanto durante i nostri soggiorni sul litorale, d'estate e talvolta in primavera, ma quando veniamo in Offida questo negozio è una tappa obbligata.Si distingue per l'alta qualità delle materie prime, l'accuratezza delle preparazioni e l'ampia possibilità di scelta.Le olive ascolane sono straordinarie, sicuramente tra le migliori in assoluto: delicate al palato, ben dorate e mai unte, con sapiente equilibrio di sapori tra ripieno e oliva/impanatura.Ottimo il gustosissimo chichì ripieno, singolare specialità tutta offidana della quale siamo particolarmente golosi.Squisiti sia i primi, con menzione per le lasagne, sia le varie verdure al forno o gratinate, ideali nella calura estiva, tra cui prelibati pomodori "in porchetta" preparati a regola d'arte.Da segnalare, tra i dolciumi, i tipici funghetti offidani all'aroma di anice. La pasta fresca non l'abbiamo mai provata, ma si presenta da sola e basta guardarla per farsene un'idea più che attendibile.All'occorrenza, specie per chi è di passaggio, c'è qualche posto a sedere sia all'interno che fuori.Degna di nota la raffinata insegna esterna posta sopra all'ingresso, composta da artistiche formelle in maiolica dipinta a mano.Molto gentili e cordiali le signore titolari, giustamente orgogliose dei loro prodotti e fedeli alla tradizione locale secondo cui "a UfÃdë se magna bbe' e se spènne puoche" (a Offida si mangia bene e si spende poco).Senz'altro consigliato, qui si va a colpo sicuro.(*visitato 8 luglio 2018*)

We were visiting lovely little Offida with some Italian friends. Our friend from Offida booked us for aperitivo at this wine bar. The name over the door is "Cantinetta dell'Olmo" and it is located on the main street. We were greeted by âThe Baronâ (reallly) who is the proprietor and he took good care of us. He is very proud of his own wines and informed us that under the floor there were 30,000 bottles of his wine ready for distribution. In addition to the expected bread and local cured meats, he served a unique selection of vegetarian appetizers that were very good. We saw others eating pasta that also looked yummy. I recommend you give this a try when in Offida â you wonât be disappointed.

A warm, friendly welcome from a knowledgeable waiter, elegantly presented tables in small private courtyard setting. Well worth the short drive from Castel di Lama to Offida. We chose the taster menu with the wine pairing which was excellent; some new dishes, superbly presented both on the plate and by the staff. Each course and wine described to ensure total enjoyment. A must visit if you are in the area.

As soon as we stepped in this small restaurant in the heart of town, we were pleased by the general atmosphere, the good smell coming from the kitchen and the warm welcoming of the staff. We tried the spaghettoni Mangiafuoco and the superb amatriciana, followed by deliciuos mushroom and olive all'ascolana. Cantine Pasetti Cerasuolo wine was the perfect choice for our dinner. I noticed that there were no tourists that night...
