Find this place and eat here. I really have nothing else to say. Just get ready to curse your gps as it erroneously sends you down dirt roads and dead ends for a good hour. Eventually if you endure this, you may find this oasis of an altar to the god of amazing home cooked Italian food and all else will be forgotten. Just believe me.

I tried it for dinner, and got the sfogliatine and the sandwich as suggested by someone else, well.......I would not take them both again. They are very tasty and rich! I liked more the sfogliatine, handmade red pasta plus a mix of cheeses, mushroom and green beans, simply tasty and delicious. When the sandwich came (do not expect a sandwwich....is just the name), it just was too much for me, another mix of meat cheeses....wowww, again delicius. The guys running are the 6th generation running the restaurant, the restaurant look is extremely modern, not the kind of look I like, but was very well designed, so it's a great contrast with what You see outside the restaurant. The glass of red wine I had was excellent, tasty and strong. Will go there again.I would suggest to try one of those 2 specialties, plus something "lighter".infinite grazie per la Vostra visita e il Vostro contributo .. !!
A restaurant in the countryside. The river, the tranquility and the flavors of the Umbrian tradition will accompany you on a journey of taste and excellence. Innovative dishes or traditional dishes. Taste and quality. Come and visit us.
We were here for the second time in the new renovated restaurant and it was even better than ever before. The "antipasta" guanciale served with "rucola" and " salvia"Also the " primo" was nice . As " secondo""filetti di vitello" really you can not eat it better in an other place. Because it was 1 november the restaurant served (and offers) a special " dolce" with sweet tagliatelle. Thanks for everything and the perfect service. A suggestion: some " tende" at the windows .It looks warmer and more acoustic.

The restaurant Giovannino's is a famil-run restaurant, situated in the calm of the Umbrian hills 4 kms from Assisi. To reach the restaurant you can take the ss444 street to Ponte Grande. From "Porta Perlici" Assisi's door, you will be in restaurant in 5 m
Having booked into the local Casa Rosa with very short notice, we had not had time to shop for foo. Ristorante da Giovannino also has a limited mini market attached; At 19.40 we were the only people in the restaurant, so we weren't really too sure that they wanted us; however, over the next 30 mins or so several other tables were taken and we felt less conspicuous, The Service, (only one waitress) was perfectly fine and well paced; the food was also perfectly fine, and pretty much as one would expect from this type of family trattoria. A local pasta dish and a mixed grill also good; however WHY do so many places INSIST that you BUY water, rather than drinking tap water. They say it's undrinkable; utter nonsense & I think it's much safer than bottled water that has been in plastic bottles for up to a couple of years, leaching chemicals from the plastic!Hi.I would like to thank you for the review and to tell you that in Italy people usually dine at 8 pm so generally the restaurant, even if is open since 7:30 pm , starts to become full at 8/8:30 pm.I would also like to explain the water issue. We couldnât give you the tap water because the Italian law doesnât permit this.Serving tap water would mean to risk every time a mulct, so we can serve only water in bottle or tap water filtered with a special purifier. For this reason in Italian restaurants water isn't free.I hope to see you again.Fabio

The restaurant will open March 27, 2018 and will close the season on January 14, 2019. Our specialties⦠goodness Km Zero from our farm! Meat choices and raised the old fashioned way, homemade pasta, sweets and products from our production oven, jams and c
Very pleasant service with excellent food. Authentic Umbrian cuisine beautifully presented. I understand in the summer you can dine in the garden and enjoy fabulous views.
Quite a smart, modern restaurant, with really excellent food (including some vegetarian), sophisticated without being fussy. The staff were friendly, and even on a weekday evening, it was almost full, so although I think it's relatively new, it seems to be creating a reputation already. It's easy to park nearby, as it is on the main square just outside the old walled, medieval part of Nocera Umbra. The square itself was quite lively in the evening, which was good to see.

We were taken by our driver/tour guide, Salvatore Coppola, to this fabulous out of the way place to eat in a Tuscan style home. The food was not only organic but grown right there on the farm. The meat was so fresh and cooked on an open fire. I have not had better food anywhere. The Chef and owner "Alex" not only prepared the food he had grown it all on site. You can also go there for a cooking school and stay in an apartment in their home. Its very convenient to Rome as well and the afternoon drive to get there was delightful.I highly recommend this for your vacation. I can't wait to go back. The next time I hope to stay right there. Our driver by the way was the best in Italy. He will let you feel like a real Italian and have an experience you will always remember.

1-3 november we were staying at Cerqua Rosara Residence and the Owner of this establishment, Gianni recommended that we eat dinner at La Gabella. so we went there and it turned out that to be a very rememberable dinner experience. If you are passing Valtopina go to La Gabella for a dinner, you won't be disappointed.

Superb local cuisine in a beautiful restaurant with stunning views, the cuisine is based on the local speciality of truffles, and although i am not a fan of truffle, the food was still great.

Our expectations were high given the high scores at Tripadvisor, but the food itself was average at best. The antipasti looked better than the actual taste of it. The assortments of ham, cheese and fried vegetables did not exceed the 'supermarket' quality. Main course was even more disappointing. Pasta with truffles was overcooked, which is a rarity in Italy. Pasta with meat was OK, but nothing special. Fair prices, friendly service, but not a restaurant we'll be visiting again.
