We came here with invitation in-hand for their pre-opening dining event. My friend and I were impressed from the start as Molino is located in a beautifully restored, historic building that was formerly a post office. There is a huge patio deck at the front of the building with tables and umbrellas and great views at the corner intersection. This is the first Molino of their franchises that has a separate bar and itâs very nice as you can pull a seat up to the bar and watch Claudio mix up one of his special potions with perfect decorations or have a seat at one of the tables or high chairs and take in the relaxed atmosphere.The seating space of the restaurant is rather unique. As you enter, there is the dough in display cases that must set for 48hrs. Then there are about three sets of dining sections on the right side, then a round table. At the back of the room are tables lined along the wall, on the opposite side of the room are semi-circular padded booths. The center of the room is the wood-fired oven and open view pizza prep area and a few front row dining seats at this counter to what all the happenings.Now on to the food. We ordered appetizers from fresh bread and oil, focaccia rosemary, rohschinken, and burrata on a bed of arugula salad. This schinken was hands down the best I have ever tasted! Round two we each ordered the entrecote, mine over a bed of risotto, and my dining friend over their specialty spaghetti. Wow again! The meat dishes simply melted in your mouth and were sooo delicious. We each ordered desserts that were a really special treat to cap off the evening. My dining friend stated, the meal we had on this visit would compete with any of the top & best restaurants in Zurich. Though the place was packed, with families as well, there was no overwhelming noise level anywhere in the restaurant! Molino is open 365 days a year, serving lunch and dinner.The staff was exceptional! Our waitress, Lucia, was so friendly and took care of all of our needs. The host, Luca, was great and treated us very nice during our visit. There were so many others to thank for our great visit including Frau Fergg, Frau Oberholzer, the gentleman in the red coat that allowed me to take pictures, and others, in addition to the owner himself, whom I personally thanked for the great evening and environment. Ich finde es sehr gut die idee mit dem Toaster, damit wird der Dürüm oder Kebab knusprig! Ein minus punkt weil das Fleisch nicht frisch geschnitten direkt vom spiess kommt sondern aus dem vorgewärmten töpfen für den preis ein muss eigentlich..

So today we came here for lunch. I've reviewed the Barone in December last year and I can't see any improvement. In fact, the opposite. It took again very long to order and get served the food. To note here, it was lunch time. Dear Barone, aren't you aware that people have to work and can't spend 2 hours at your restaurant? The food quality was rather poor. What is solved as seafood salad is rather cocktail sauce (probably 1 litre of it) drowning low-quality frozen pieces of seafood. At least have the pride to serve proper prawns! Waiters were rather annoying, trying to be funny and almost begging us to have coffee as well although we did mention that we need to leave.Conclusion, it was my second and last visit. Not recommended.

Went to this restaurant with a group of about 20. The kitchen took all orders a la carte and everything came out together and beautifully prepared. This is not easy for the kitchen to do! The food was excellent. I recommend the house made pasta dishes.
