If you are visiting Castellón, this place has to be in your checklist. There are two options for menus, one that mix several starters for sharing and others that add a main dish to the menu. Either way the âcoca de tomateâ is a must.All in all, a place that offers a nice gastronomic experience, paying less than in other more pretentious, posh restaurants

After a long drive we were worn out and chose to eat at the restaurant hotel even though it appeared quite simple. The menu meal is only 20 euro and includes drinks. the food is well presented, flavourful and filling. I would recommend a visit even if you are not at the hotel.Some of the dishes are attached as photos.

Spectacular little restaurant near the city centre of Castellon de la Plana. We wore amazed by the food! We have taken the menu of the day which consisted in 8 delicious courses. Been here many times and enjoyed every visit. No english spoken but pigeon Spanish works just as well. We are treated like old friends. Excellent food quality. Not cheap but then that is not what you go for. Frequented by almost exclusively Spanish people which says a lot. Visit if you speak a little Spanish or have a good dictionary!

Really: this is a great experience from all points of view. It is a small restaurant, very cozy, in the very heart of Castellon de la Plana. The staff, first of all, deserve big kudos. They know how to make people feel welcome: very obliging and friendly, they made recommendations, checked with us all the time to make sure we were ok; you could clearly see they were interested in you as their client.They even recommended us to order less food as they thought that what we ordered would be too much for two people. How many times do you find such honest and caring people in a restaurant?The food is simply exquisite: the beef with the truffles sauce was exceptionally tasty. Even the shrimp in garlic (such a simple dish) had a really great taste: they were just so fresh and so well cooked that we just emptied a huge plate of those.For our first day in Castellon de la Plana, this was a great welcome. Huge menu of paellas which Iâm sure are great but my companion and I immersed ourselves in the Montaditos and tapas instead. Everything was delicious, freshly prepared and very filling. Ingredients of very high quality. The service is warm and attentive. You feel like a special guest in someoneâs home. We had both the white and red house wines which were excellent. The place is bright comfortable and quiet enough for serious conversation at dinner. How the hell such a good restaurant got the name like that? It had nothing to do with German cooking. It's a pure heart of midterranian quisine. It must be some kind of witness protection program, which aims to hide good food away of strangers. And the food is delicious. Perfectly grilled vegetables as a companion for softly fried squid with a little taste of olive, basil and lemon puts me into food heaven. Specially after hard working day in, I must admit, ugly city.

We go to La Piazzetta in Almassora for 'special occasion' family meals such as birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations. The service is friendly and professional. The food is wonderful and the portions are generous, typical of Valencia, where the people love their food. If you like sharing a delicious table salad, breadsticks and good wine, in a happy environment, give it a try. They do a great gin and tonic too. They also open at lunchtime, great for business meetings, but avoid the gin and tonic if you´re going back to work. Its just down the road from the town hall on the corner of Plaza Santa Isabel, near the bus terminus, and I think they are closed on Mondays.
