Me and Becky visit here as Chef Marigil makes gorgeous food whether it is pre-ordered marinaded meats/fish or food cooked to order it is all oh so good. Celia makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in and these two things make you long to come back. It is not a big restaurant so please book in advance and I guarantee you will not be disappointed

Food, service, ambiance excellent. Tiny restaurant (around 24 covers in total), with a third of the seating outside.The food is wonderful, though quite expensive. Very much worth a visit.One problem. We tried to book on their website and tables are not offered after 6:30 (always says fully booked). So we called in person to ask for a table the following day - only 6:30 available on many days. So we reluctantly took 6:30 and as any tables emptied after 8:00 they would not take any passing trade, just leaving the tables empty. Strange. Maybe they like to get to bed early! My sister, Mom and I visited Le Cro last month - we all agreed it was the most amazing tapas meal and the service we got from both Marina and Hugo was second to none. This restaurant never ceases to amaze! We prebooked for our daughterâs birthday, asking for a cake with candles. We got the usual very warm welcome from the staff, all of whom we now know well. Predrinks and shown to our table in this small, intimate restaurant. Two had the tornedos and two had the mussels, with minor distractions from our daughters 4 month old baby. The wine was absolutely fantastic and accompanied the food well. We finished with a beautiful chocolate cake with candles and everyone in the restaurant singing Happy Birthday to our daughter. Truly a night to remember.

Visited after reading the good reviews on TripAdvisor. This is a dining experience! The food is simple but put together so well with other ingredients, do try the Sardine sharing platter and amazing salad. The simple but delicious desserts are also worth a try. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Went for lunch 2 days in a row as we couldn't get in for dinner.The food was really good, prices reasonable, had steaks the 2nd day, we all enjoyed everything, the staff were very nice, desserts delicious.

We came here 16 months ago before the restaurant was truly recognised and we were wowed. On our return we had exactly the same menu but the experience wasnât quite the same. Bread and anchovies to start with followed by cod and pork loin. The owner was attentive and the meal was good value for money(although more expensive). Set in a back street and inside it is authentic Portuguese - definitely worth a visit away from the main restaurants.

We came here on reading previous reviews and was not disappointed. We couldnt decide what to have so we went for the sharing platter for 2 and it was amazing and to be honest could easily have fed 3 to 4 people the cheese board is to die for, we went home with a goody bag of what we couldnt eat aa so much. Patricia and her team made us feel extremely welcome and couldnt do enough for us. The food and wine was superb and great value for money, we are so glad we found this little gem of a place and it is first on the list for when we return Albufeira

Ok, keeping quality high over several years is always difficult.This used to be a favourite of ours a few years ago, and during a week would always warrant a couple of visits.As the recent reviews seemed to agree with this, we decided that it was an ideal first night meal, only just reached the Real Hotel Residences that afternoon.The "no brain" option in this area is the paella or cataplana, as even the poorer restaurants can make both of these to a quality well above UK options.Sadly, this restaurant seems to have focussed on spectacular appearance, and lost any appreciation of quality.The Paella turned up with crunchy rice - a feat in itself, and a huge variety of meats and shellfish. Looking good so far, but once you started chewing, it was clear that we may never finish any of the seafood, which was unbelievably over cooked to the (presumed) texture of tarmac.The giant prawns could have saved the day, but they were clearly not completely fresh, and also were tough, and hence inedible.Oh well, there were four or five types of meat to try and save something of the dish, sadly these were either little lumps of gristle, but more commonly cooked to slime, looking all flavour and texture.An attempt to call over staff to discuss the problems went unheeded, and when we had our virtually full Paella Dish removed along with the huge residual food we had tried, there was no interest from the server to discuss the issues, or get someone else over from their team.I realise that this was one meal, on one night, but looking around other tables, it did not appear to be a unique experience.Maybe the Trip Advisor rating is high from the past, and not reflecting the amazing call in quality we experienced.Be WarnedDepois da série de mentiras que disse na sua avaliação depois da sua esposa já o ter feito só lhe temos a dizer que felizmente também sabemos o que é comida pois também vamos muitas vezes comer fora e a Paella que se queixaram estava maravilhosa porque a provamos é obviamente não a Ãamos retirar da conta principalmente depois da vossa triste figura!
