Don't miss this place when you are visiting Jaco, Costa Rica. Great view, service and food that is cooked on a wood burning stove. The staff who work there are wonderful and make the visit worth the mountain road to get there. I've been there twice now and will be back again and again.

Iâll preface my review by saying weâve visited this restaurant many times before during our annual visits to Jaco & have had good service & good to great food. Well....this last visit was a complete disaster. The waitress, sheâs never waited on us before, had an overwhelmingly obvious rotten attitude. In the middle of my ordering, she turned her back to me & walked to another table & started talking to a guy. Then, the entire time our party of 6 was ordering, she was rolling her eyes, & never smiled once. It was like she thought we shouldnât be there. She was probably the most rude waitress Iâve ever experienced.Then, the food came. Our friend ordered a the beef filet med. rare & it came out well done....looked like chicken fried steak.I ordered the special, Camerones with salad. What I recâd was a slop of sautéed onions & peppers, with what appeared to be 3, over cooked shrimp-sized langoustines with small claws & heads still on. I love authentic CR & Latin Am cooking & flavors. It was almost like they had some leftover langoustines & served them to us. There were 3 fried plantains that were so hard, they were inedible. My husband & I left hungry.The other 2 dishes were only so-so.They brought out a new steak & it was better.Either they had a new cook on Monday or they need to get a new one. This was the worst food our entire trip. Not sure if weâll ever go back.

Al Fresco and Chef Darrell and his team executed a 40 plate poolside lunch with ease and perfection. They were organized, and ready. Our food was delicious and being able to be relaxed and served poolside, in our bathing suits, was fantastic. Great job!

We were staying at a nearby resort where the food was very expensive and we wanted a more authentic feel. This did not disappoint! Amazing view and great food. Awesome service as well!

My wife and i were traveling to JRO, for our flight back to Denmark. We stoped for lunch, and were overwheled at the delicious food served in no time, and the enthusiasm of Elmez, Our host and his team. Deffenitely worth a stop. Highly recomend able. Hola! Driving by many times in my way to MArriot Los Suños...a few days ago I decide to stop...what a great place.Love the ambiance the furniture, and of course the ea food.The owner is a real nice person...very friendly and funny.I had a great ceviche and a Sea Food soup...they made the soup specially for me...they are nice or what!!!The huge parking lot is 100% secure...even I cross the street and I did some shopping at Auto Mercado...and feel that my car and belongs wer in a safe place.They have nice size menu roadadvisor

The place looks like your typical beach bar/restaurant, but it is any thing but. Upscale dinning in a casual atmosphere. Located right on the beach. So many great options to choose from. We all ordered seafood dishes and none of us we disappointed. All extremely fresh and prepared in creative ways. Have lived in Costa Rica for 20 years, and never knew of the place before. Every dish was special. Make sure to try one of the flambes. Wait staff very attentive and a special mention for Gerald who helped make the evening amazing. Well done guys!!!!!1.Thank you for your comments...2Now you will have to visit us very often to recover the lost 20 years... :)
