We had an incredible 7 course meal here. Everything was thoughtful, unique, and delicious. The savory egg custard and Okinawa salt ice cream were especially tasty. Service and atmosphere were excellent as well. Only downside was indoor smoking.

I was on a business trip to UBE, a small industrial town in southern Japan. I certainly wasn't expecting to experience a Michelin worthy restaurant in a small town. We had dinner in a private room, and each course that was presented was better than the last. This is not your typical Japanese meal, its levels beyond that. The Fugu sashimi, a specialty of the area, was smooth and delicious. the live silverfish dunked in a shot glass and swallowed while swimming in your mouth was delicious. This is definitely THE restaurant you must go while you are in UBE. I especially appreciate the chef and his team lining up outside to say thank you and good bye to us when we left.
