The hotel recommended this izakaya to us and we went there for dinner. This is a family restaurant where locals dine in. Down to earth and humble. Tempura was fresh and the size of prawn was huge. It has 3 large size prawn and one large slice fish. Rice was delicious on its own. Highly recommend if you are hungry and have a big appetite on the day.

The minute I walked into the restaurant, the chef/owner stopped me. I said Two and he kept saying âNo noâ. The time was 6pm and the restaurant was clearly open with plenty of seats (at least half the restaurant was empty). All the seated customers were Japanese. After I walked out, another Chinese guy tried his luck and received the same treatment. The chef refused to let him in the restaurant.

This restaurant opens fairly till fairly late. We were the only customers that evening, so our food arrived no longer than 5 mins after we ordered! Food is alright, but prices are steep! Looks to me like this area relies solely on tourism for revenue, thus a lot of souvenirs and meals are heightened in price. Portions are kept small too, which is a great size for finishing your meal..It is located along the same walking street as many other shops and restaurants, so there are plenty of other choices if you prefer a different restaurant. Our waitress wasn't friendly and could hardly speak English, which is probably why she avoided any conversation and only nodded..Seats are also limited so be sure to reserve if you are in a big group.

The Sumibiyaki restaurant is right next to the Sapporo drug store and has everything Inwant for dinner including spicy Akaoni Ramen, seafood soup, Milk Ramen, baked shrimp andnscallop

We visit this restaurant with the Chuo bus tour and had the shabu shabu lunch. The quality of the food is great and the staff is very friendly. We are having a great time to have lunch there. They have their bakery shop in the ground floor and we bought some tasty cookie.

Had such a lovely time here. Had the seasonal white shrimp and itâs the best Iâve ever had!!! They are known for their cod roe and mentaiko here and we tried them all. So delicious. Free parking just across the street, and it was nice to take in the view after our meal. Will definitely visit again if Iâm here.

We started queuing around 1215pm and need to wait 15-20min for seats. Highly recommend their ebi tempura and oyakudon set meal which include rice and hot/ cold soba. Each set cost 980yen.We also ordered the duck soba that cost 1450yen which I find acceptable only.
