Came here on a recommendation from our accommodation host. We wanted something light for dinner and our host suggested Toshi's. We called 15 minutes prior to arrival to make a booking in case it was busy, but for a Friday night after 8.15pm it wasn't busy. You can opt to sit the modified Japanese way (sitting on the floor with a cutout under the table so that your legs can be placed comfortably) or at the normal dining table.We ordered a plate of takoyaki and a sashimi and sushi platter to share. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. And the chef is Japanese (and not Koreans like most other places are).

I go there for the âMoreâ, the Bento box more, in fact. I also like the fast service, pleasant staff and decor done in that Tokyo back-street style. Not expensive for lunch.Bento, I am told, is about convenience. Japanese mothers assemble bento for their childrenâs lunch. Lucky kids! I got peanut butter sandwiches for six years till I realized there were other options. For me, Bentoâs about the variety. My beef bento had perfectly-sized small portions of tender bbq beef, tuna on radish, salad & kewpie mayo, miso, rice, crabstick, beans, and more.If Iâd gone to school with a Bento box rather than peanut butter sandwiches, Iâm pretty sure I would have studied harder. Are you listening out there, mothers?

After a recent renovation, Highlands Sushi now has a good sit down area as well as take-away. The food is of excellent quality, there is a good variety and the staff are friendly. We have eaten there several times in the last month and look forward to going back in the near future. A nice touch was being served a bowl of Japanese chips while we waited for our take-away order. Definitely recommended.
