川越駅東口からすぐのところにあるステーキがいただけるお店です。フィレステーキランチは価格だけを見れば、高価なランチと言うことになりますが、なかなかボリュームもあります。肉ヒレ肉140gと聞きましたが目の前の鉄板で焼いてくれます。焼加減は細かくリクエストに応えてくれますので、ミディアムにしました。ステーキは厚みもありボリューム感があります。玉ねぎともやしそ添え物もあります。まずまず満足のできるステーキランチでした。

Food is excellent, and not too sweet. Staff is really nice. The restaurant is decorated in traditional japanese style, also provide english menu. Price is a bit high. However compare with quality, it's reasonable.

「いも恋」のお菓子で有名な和菓子店が営業する食事処です。大正時代の商家を改装した落ち着いた雰囲気の建物で、ここで頂けるのは「芋おこわ」です。もちっとしてとてもおいしい。和菓子の美味しさだけが取り上げられていますが、おこわの美味しさも抜群でした。

Ex-baseball player, Mr. Jobe does very good job for cooking Shikoku-style Udon noodle. I'd recommend "double" because it's very reasonable price. If you go there for lunch in the weekend, please go early.

A wonderful little Japanese restaurant conveniently located just ticked down from the main Coedo street.Such a lovely setting and beautiful little garden with a well kept traditional interior.Food and service was impeccable and pretty good value consideringMight be tricky to walk in with a big party but couples should be ok without booking.

The eel is not cheap but worth the price especially is charcoal grill ! You can ask for English menu and the staff can understand simple English so not a big problem at all. Do pen your name at the entrance and wait for the staff to call for your name to take a seat . Cosy restaurant with nice food - love it! Will go back if have a chance ;)

The unagi (in the Kanto style, i.e., steamed to be fluffy inside, and grilled to perfection outside) was superlative, and when we went (mid-afternoon, mid-week in early November), the main location (honkan) was quiet. We immediately got a table, with plenty of space to accommodate our toddler's stroller. The service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended, even if Kawagoe is not in your plans (it should be: it makes a great excursion from Tokyo and it is only 45 minutes away by train from Shinjuku).

Had lunch at 1pm on Friday. Had to wait a bit. Lots of tourists and some Japanese. Was recommended by tourist info office at Kawagoe Station. 3400Y for large unajyu. Taste was OK but I preferred the crispy eel I had in Kyoto. Eel intestines in soup was chewy and interesting. Pickles were too salty. Cash only. Surprising considering the high prices. Save your money and eat elsewhere
