I have tried every sushi place that is worth trying in my neighborhood. Everyone good new ones, I will go try. This one is it!! I have introduced this to my friends and family. I have had lunch and dinner here. Sat at the booth, the table, the private dinning and the sushi bar. At every price point, the chef will not disappoint. It may not rival the great places in Japan but it does come close enough to the fish quality that has traveled thousands miles. Hands down, this is the place for good Japanese food outside of J town and Japan. I really should be so honest because there is already a good wait for lunch when I come here. If you don't know what to order, look at the specials on the board by the sushi bar. That will be a great start.

Went for for lunch and was surprised as to the menu choice, not typical Japanese menu. All of us ordered bento boxes, which can be ordered as 2 or 3 food item choices. I ordered the teriyaki salmon, spicy tuna roll, and the sashimi. Order choices and variations include chicken, soft shell crab, tempura, pork, or beef. The box comes with miso soup, salad, and rice. Other lunch choices were chawanmushi, toro tartar, nabbeyaki udon, and chirashi bowl. Staff were very nice and helpful. Food was tasty and fresh.

This is a very nice experience for those who are used to the Swiss fondue. You actually cook the meet at the boiling spice of your preference and than eat it. Worth the try

After a nice long hike in the mountains, we were hungry and needing some sushi. Mansun is a small, quaint place with modest, but nice decor. We were seated immediately and ordered the #9 and #10 lunch specials. The friendly server brought out some tasty dishes before the sushi arrived and we enjoyed all 8 of the tasters (fermented bean sprouts, mushrooms, broccoli, etc). The sushi was nicely presented and consisted of 4 mixed rolls and 8 pieces of sushi. It was fresh and delightful. We were very pleased and will go back. I recommend you give it a try as well.

Pleasant place, Friendly people, good food. Free boba which was a surprise at end of meal. We used to go to another Pho place but I started to not feel well afterwards. This place has higher quality food. It is small and quiet which makes it nice to end a stressful week here.

This place moved from another location and it actually has a group of "followers". A really great sushi experience. Rivals much more expensive restaurants and in an area where you can fall over sideways and find a sushi restaurant, it's really good when you find one that stands out. You won't be disappointed if you come here.

This place is good. Really GOOD. We drove almost two hours to get there (an hour back as rush hour was over) and, while I don't think I'd venture there on a weeknight again, I'll definitely go back (thinking on the way to/from Palm Springs or destinations in Arizona will be a perfect opportunity as well). Service is good and reasonably friendly.. We had to wait about half an hour for a table, but once we were seated, service was prompt.. There are many different kinds of meat and several broths to choose from. We got a portk gyoza appetizer for the table, which was good, but nothing amazing. The shabu, on the other hand, was pretty fabulous. We all chose our broths (I used plain shabu water, one chose miso which was reportedly very good and which did not overpower the sauces, and two chose a spicy broth which went over better with one than the other one who wanted to have more of a chance to taste the sauces next go round). That brings us to the sauces...very good. The Ponzu is standard, with garlic, daichan, and green onions to mix in. Ponzu is standard fare and never stands out one way or the other. Their sesame sauce though was much better than average and there's a little surprise with that (you'll have to go...not ruining the surprise experience, but it's a positive one). As for the meats, they are very fresh as are the vegetables. We didn't have room for dessert, but macarons on the menu.... I'd definitely recommend a trip here...some of the best shabu I've had!

Combination dinners are a great value which include beef teriyaki and chicken teriyaki or Chilean Seabass and California roll. Include soup, salad, rice, house hand roll and fruit. $13.50 and up. Restaurant is a good size and can accommodate large groups. Nice take-out menu also from $5.75 on above.

I was craving sushi and being new to town wasnât sure where to go so I looked in trip advisor for recommendations. Great customer service! Neat atmosphere, interesting dishes, not your typical sushi restaurant. Definitely better than Benihana. I had the spicy tuna tartare and the Golden Gate roll. Very good! The only thing I would have changed was the chef added soy sauce to most dishes. It could have been me (not a soy sauce fan) I felt it made the tartare salty. Would definitely eat here again.

We were up north for a quick weekend getaway, and were in desperate need of some dinner. The situation was so desperate, in fact, that we (briefly) considered ordering the hotel's room service. Thank goodness our frugal nature won out, and our quick Yelp search brought us here.Our requirements that night were pretty easy: not too expensive, nothing we'd have to get dressed up for and within a 15 minute drive from the hotel. The fact that this is a Japanese restaurant certainly didn't hurt!We arrived kind of late on a Saturday night, but they were still open and doing a brisk business. We were shown to a table right away, and our requested hot tea was brought out quickly.I'm fairly predictable, so it should be no surprise that once I saw saba as an entree item, I stopped looking at the menu. =) I ended up getting a dinner combination of teriyaki salmon and the saba shioyak. It came with rice, miso soup and a salad. My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki entree, and added a spicy tuna roll (again, should not be a surprise!)Though they were busy (lots of large groups), our food came out pretty quickly. The soup, salad and rolls all came out first, and they were tasty. I actually really enjoyed the salad; the dressing was flavorful without being overpowering.The main dishes came out soon after, and I was surprised by how large the fish servings were. I was expecting smaller pieces of fish - especially the saba - but they were generous cuts. And it was filling! Both fish pieces were cooked to perfection, flaky and bursting with flavor (and bristling with bones, so pluck carefully!) The entrees also came with a small ramekin full of cooked vegetables - but they weren't just boiled or steamed. They were served in a truly yummy sauce of undetermined origin, but which we both definitely enjoyed. I think it might have been mayonnaise based? It was very good, whatever it was!About the only knock against this place is that the service lagged towards the end. The restaurant started to clear out while we ate, though they had a good to-go business going as well. But, we had to ask twice for water and tea refills, and had to wait an inordinate amount of time for our bill to be delivered and picked up (which is a huge pet peeve of mine).Other than that, though, we both enjoyed the meal. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. We left feeling satiated and happy, and that's the best review I can ever give a place.
