This place was a good experience! Many different sushi options, some meats, and dessert choices. The concept of having a rotating food belt right next to your table is awesome. You can take as many plates as you like.

Restaurant Japonais Naka Naka

Reviewed By Raphaël C

My expectations were perhaps too high. The sushis are well done and I did especially like the seaweed salad. Staff is funny, and the service is good. We do already know the place of this restaurant because it was previsously "La Cigogne", a well known restaurant in Belfort by the past. It's a tiny place, despite its small size it offers to eat outside, which is great by summer. As we read on the internet, Naka Naka became quickly a known and appreciate place, so it's preferable to book before the visit. That's what we did, and true that when we arrived they were refusing some customers. The price is ok, affordable, still not that cheap if you want to have a really nurrishing meal. For example : the size of the (yummy) seaweed salad is small, as the dessert that we did choose.About Vegetarian / Vegan choices in the menu : just a few. Have to say that a sushi restaurant is kind of inapropriate place to have such a meal, as it's besides the rice, mainly about fish.

Kanzaki

Reviewed By Chefsprive

If you are in Belfort and in the mood for sushi, your choices are fairly limited. We tried Kanzaki, a few times, actually, and have been pleased with the sushi.Location: right across from the train station. That is something that made me hesitate from trying the place, as in France, most businesses across from train stations are typically bars, kebad or fast food places, and rarely good restaurants. But, if you are travelling in and out of Belfort and want some Sushi, then this location is quite convenient.Quality: The quality of the sushi is decent. The size of the fish is a bit small, but flavor-wise, everything is pretty tasty.Service: Don't expect much there. This restautant is not set-up as a fast food place, but it is basically run as one. You can either call in your order, or come in and order and wait, or eat in. There is a man behind the counter who takes your order and rings up your order, and one waiter who handles the dining room. They are not rude or unfriendly, but not overly warm either. Price: I find the prices a bit high, especially since the sushi size is small. Even the combo deals are not that great. But, since this is basically the only Japanese joint in town, beggars can't be choosers.Overall, we have been fairly satisfied with our orders. We typically call in and pick up. The wait time is reasonable (except for once, when they were slammed...it happens). The quality is pretty good, and the prices alright. If you want the Japanese experience and plan on eating in, you will be sorely disappointed. The decor was quickly and cheaply put together, and the place truly have the feel of a fast food place. The lighting is bright, and I think the music is basic top-40 radio, so the ambiance is poor and far from what you'd expect from a Japanese place. But, as mentioned, if you are in Belfort and are in the mood for Sushi, then call your order in and eat it back at your place. Enjoy!
