We dined here at the end of August before going to the opera. It was an excellent choice about 10 minutes walk from the theatre. We arrived at 7 which was ideal for a 9:15 start at the theatre. It was empty when we arrived and it's location isn't what you'd expect but don't be put off. Service was first class & friendly. It got off to a good start when we were given a complimentary prosecco. We had sufficient time for a primi, seconds & dolce all of which were excellent. We only wanted a glass of house wine as we had to drive later. As an alternative to the house wine we were offered an alternative which was superb and inexpensive.The restaurant started to fill up with locals about 8 ish.We had plenty of time to enjoy the meal, having parked near the theatre and strolled back in plenty of time.It looked much better value than those on the lake and we couldn't fault it. We would go again if we were going to the opera festival again

Once you get your starter, you'll almost forget about the white-tiled floors, glaring lighting and gaudy Dynasty curtains in this restaurant, especially if you order the selection of seafood samples. You should reserve a table in advance as the place tends to be packed, mostly with locals. The complimentary limonaia shot you get at the end does little to sweeten the bill; this place looks cheaper than it is in more ways than one. But it's worth it if you really love seafood - or the 80s...

Spent 3 days here, clean, friendly, very good pasta and risotto when we were hungry. Comfortable chairs and sun beds, easy to get to on local bus.

Had heard and read a lot a good things about this place, so was looking forward to the meal. . However i was really disappointed. The starters ( a selection of antipasti) were OK, but nothing stood out. MY main course of sea bream was slightly overcooked, and was served with potatoes, which were the best thing about the dish.My son who was with me and my guests were also underwhelmed by the food we were served. Certainly not memorable experience.Dear Horsedeal,i'm very sorry to hear that yr experience was not as you expeted.Unfortunatly, you don't mention when you visited our restaurant, so for me it's difficult to recall you.I hope you Will give us a second chance and pls do em me if you need asssistance for the area in the future, [email protected]

This is a family run restaurant with a real wood oven.If you love home cooked Italianfood at fantastic value visit Da O Dino.If you are going to the opera it is 5 minutes drive awayand very quick service if you let them know you are going to the opera.I have tried most of the restaurants in Torre del Lago and always return to this one

Not only the perfect view on the lake, but the whole atmosphere is excellent. The food is good and the service is also good. Be careful, during the opera festival it is absolutely recommended to book in advance.

Very nice place if you want to relax by the sea or pool. Very good kitchen and a gentil hosting. Suggesting "Fritto misto di mare" or "Spaghetti allo scoglio". If you want to avoid sand all over your body, ask for an "ombrellone sulla terrazza".

We have chosen it after looking at the nearby of Viareggio for having a fish lunch.We had a delicious 5 fish plates appetizer and 2 home made cakes with very good local white wine. Gorgeous!!!!They use only local fresh fish, varying on the daily availability. Everything is cared with attention, bread included. Local food with "bio" is well implemented. Raccomanded. Wow. This place has an amazing selection of seafood. I recommend everyone that loves seafood to go here. They have a lot to choose in-between and the staff is very flexible. We gave them a little tip and they put a bottle of limoncello on the table. GREAT.
