Booking is recommended - this is a tiny restaurant in the town centre and seems to be very popular. We really enjoyed our meal and were served with excellent wine, with a proper Italian espresso to finish up with. Cheerful staff and the fact that you can actually see your food being prepared in the miniscule kitchen are a bonus.

Das da ein Italiener im Dorfkrug in Kirchdornberg eingezogen ist, war irgendwie an uns vorbeigegangen. Aber es liegt auch nicht vor der Haustür, wenn man am anderen Ende der Stadt wohnt. Aufmerksam geworden sind wir über ein Angebot bei Groupon, dass wir gekauft haben. Schell angerufen und einen Termin vereinbart und uns auf ein schönes Menü gefreut â 2 Tage davor wird der Gutschein von Groupon storniertâ¦.. Trotzdem hinfahren? Hätte mich im Nachhinein geärgert, wenn wir das nicht gemacht hätten!Sonntag, 18:30, wir betreten den ehemaligen Dorfkrug. Der Speilautomat, der früher neben der Theke an der Wand hang, ist nicht mehr da. Das Mobiliar wohl schon und auch die rot/weià karierten Tischdecken sehen etwas deplatziert aus. Die BegrüÃung ist freundlich, wir haben freie Platzwahl, sind die einzigen Gäste!Der Inhaber (auch gleichzeitig der Küchenchef) weiÃ, dass wir eigentlich ein 4-Gänge Menü über Groupon bestellt hatten und bietet uns an, dass so für uns zu kochen und uns dabei auch preislich entgegen zu kommen. Sehr noble Geste!Nach kurzer Ãberlegung (4 Personen essen alles das Gleiche) dankend abgelehnt, wir wollten uns lieber ein wenig mehr Ãberblick über die Speisekarte und die Kochkunst des Küchenchefs verschaffen. Eine weise Entscheidung, wie sich dann herausstellte.Die Karte ist umfangreich, Antipaste-Variationen, Suppen, Salate als Vorspeise, Pizzen, Nudelgerichte, Fleisch und Fisch als Hauptgeeichte und diverse Dessertangebote runden das Angebot ab. Bevor die Vorspeichen serviert wurde kam ein Gruà aus der Küche, kleine, selbst gemachte warme Brötchen mit einem leckeren Dipp.Wir begannen mit Buscetta, Vitello Tonnato, 2 italischen Klassikern und Tomatensuppe. Inzwischen wurde das Schweinefleisch beim Vitello Tonnato durch Rindfleisch ersetzt, zusammen mit der selbstgemachten Sauce ein Genuss. Der Teller war leicht gewärmt, so das Sause ihr volles Aroma entfalten konnte â einfach perfekt. Das Brot der Buscetta war schön geröstet, die Tomaten lecker angemacht. Auch die Tomatensuppe war fruchtig und cremig - ein Genuss. Als Hauptgerichte hatten wir selbst gemachte Ravioli, einmal mit Steinpilz gefüllt, einmal mit Spinat. Als weiteres Hauptgericht stand eine Pizza, gut belegt, heià und mit krossem Boden auf dem Tisch, genau so, wie ich sie liebe. Tagliatelle mit Gemüse und Rinderfiletstreifen standen als weiteres Gericht auf dem Tisch. Fleisch zart, Gemüse bissfest und die selbstgemachten Nudeln ein Gedicht.Eigentlich wäre des damit schon genug gewesen, aber nach dem Genusserlebniss und weil was SüÃes ja immer noch geht⦠Tiramisu und Panna Cotta geordert. Auch das beides selbst gemacht. Die Panna Cotta mit Beerenfrüchten war mir persönlich ein wenig zu fest, das Tiramisu ein absoluter Highlight. Ohne den âkleinen Kaffeeâ danach kann man nicht gehen, dazu gesellte sich dann noch als Dank des Hauses ein wirklich guter Grappa für die Männer und Marsala für die Frauen. Fazit unseres Besuchs: Wirklich toll gegessen, hier wird frisch und mit Liebe gekocht! Da lohnt sich das Wiederkommen allemal. Das Ambiente im Gastraum ist noch entwicklungsfähig, die karierten Tischendecken sollte mal jemand ersetzten. Aber eigentlich ist das nebensächlich â Hauptsache die Qualität der Speisen bleibt auf dem Niveau!

Sehr freundlich und hervorragende Kueche. Pasta and pizza and salad also service excellent Lucky to get a table for 6 without reservation. The air was a little sticky inside. They have outside seating but it was raining! All the food between 6 and 10 euros. After dinner drinks on the house!!!

I come to Gutersloh every year to visit family. I rarely look forward to local restaurants, but now I have found Mio. We ate here twice on this visit. Excellent Italian food. I especially recommend the Carpaccio (10â¬) And the decor is just beautiful. Each time we passed this place it was busy, which I think is a good sign. Prices are competitive to other nice restaurants in town. Five people for lunch, with appetizers was â¬90. I highly recommend.

The restaurant is well-worth a visit. It's family run by Nunzio, a native of Calabria, his two sons and his German wife. It features dishes from pizza to well-prepared meat dishes. The pizza is delicious; an Italian we know told us it's the best pizza in town. The meat dishes are delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and excellent. It's reasonably priced.

La Trattoria is a fantastic Italian restaurant with classic "Italian" decor and menu full of wonderful and varied dishes. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. A well thought out wine list provides the perfect accompaniment to any meal. If you visit with children there is a small play area. Fresh bread, black olives and taramasalata is brought to the table and is a mouthwatering start to any meal.The meals are perfectly portioned and are seasoned to perfection. The Carbonara is a particular favourite.The spinach and ricotta cannelloni is packed with flavour and the steak I ordered was perfectly cooked and the Gorgonzola sauce was a pleasure.I cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough.The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. All in all an wonderful evening was had by all and I will definitely come back.

This restaurant is situated in the middle of one of the smaller villages that became a part of Bielefeld a couple of decades ago but it still has some rural charakter and a nice setting with a small outside area for good weather. It is owned by a rich person who keeps it as a sort of hobby so the chef is free in his creations and the prices are well below what one could expect. The kitchen is a mixture of mediterranean and german (do not worry) in a very elegant way and you can get some interesting new creations and compositions. You can actually have a look at the kitchen team to see what they are doing. They do offerset menus in case the menu has too many options for you. btw the menu changes regularly with the season and only contains about a dozen or so items which in itself is always a good sign. The waiters do have a bit of a dry humor but if you test it out you can have a wonderful evening in a casual setting with really great food. And expect to be staffed by the end of the evening as well. The wine menu is extensive and does offer a good choice for reasonable prices.

I ate here twice on a recent business trip. The food was good, as was the atmosphere - low-key, around 30 or so covers, spread across three-four areas of the building, so you aren't overcome by everyone's conversations around you. There is also a bar area which you can eat and drink at.They pride themselves in the range of drinks available. Many different bottles of wine, beers, and spirits available. If you have a requirement, they probably serve it!I would recommend the Herforder Burger, which was pulled beef in a bun with some very tasty relishes and pickled veg. The 'chips' were also quite tasty.Thanks for looking after me.
