Tried this restaurant last night. We were able to sit inside with our little dog. I decided to try the mushroom pizza, which arrived in about 8 minutes, almost too quickly. My husband ordered the cannederli but since you have to wait for 20 mins he ordered a portion of chips. Unfortunately they arrived when I'd almost finished my pizza and then 2 mins later his main dish arrived. Yes, there were some hitches with the service but our waitress was very friendly and apologetic and in any case the cannederli were exquisite. Definitely would recommend this mouthwatering dish to anyone who comes here. The menu offers a lot of pizzas but also many other typical delicacies. The house white wine was also very good.

Everything about this restaurant is great. From the starters to the first and second courses they exceeded our expectations which were high already. The duck was the best we have had and the venison was great. The risotto made with red wine and sausage was the best risotto ever-2 people in our party exclaimed. Service was impeccable as was the setting. Put this on your short list for Bormio!

We visited this restaurant from Switzerland with my family including my small grand daughter. In a dark winter night it was not easy to find this place located outside Italian town of Malles. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and professional. They were also very kind to the children. The chef here can obviously cook very well traditional and modern Italian specialties as well as South Tyrolean traditional food. I started with "Speckknödelsuppe" which was excellent, although I needed to wait for at least 15 minutes because the Knödel had to be prepared fresh. The main was the house made Tagliatelle in vegetables and veal sugo, which was also very good. We had a bottle of excellent local red wine âLagrein Riserva Taber St. Magdalena Cantinaâ. We will definitely come to this restaurant again even though it takes 30 minutes by car from Switzerland.

We came there on a Saturday at about 13.30 and sit on a table where still some dirty plates, but as these were the places on the window we sit down there - after 10 minutes we realized that the waiters did not realize that these are not our plates - so we put them ourselves to another table. After again 10 minutes the waitress realized that we were still waiting and said that somebody would come to us (she was taking the orders when we sit down on the table, then she was serving also drink and food in the meantime). Again 15 minutes later she brought us the menu list and we decided in a few minutes what to order. At 14:25 we left the restaurant as we were hungry and we did not want to wait longer.

In the hamlet of Gomagoi, on the first ramps of the Stelvio Pass, this beautiful building welcomes you with its warm wooden stube and a professional and friendly staff. The kitchen is the best you can find in the area, especially for the meat dishes, prepared from an excellent raw material and very well cooked. Absolutely recommendable!

We stayed at the amazing Hotel La Genzianela for 8 nights, with dinners included in our package. You never expect a Hotel restaurant to be exceptional, but it is convenient. We were blown away by the quality of the food, the quantity and the exceptional service... night after night. Faultless!

Just on the Italian side of the border is a hotel-restaurant called Gasthof Avinga. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I stopped for lunch. Service and food were good. Would not hesitate to visit again.
