Went here for lunch during our christmas shopping, which we did regret. We had the pizza buffet which doesn`t have any of the most tasty pizzas. We also had to wait quite long for them to refill the pizzas. The coke was also not carbonated.The queue system was also quite confusing, people stand your way when you want to get new pizza slices from the buffet.

With indoor and outdoor seating, this place works summer or winter. In summer there's room for kids to run around in the adjoining park while the meals are coming.Menu is mainly pizza and pasta, reasonably priced (for Norway!) and a good wine list. Service was friendly, and quite brisk, and they happily provided a high-chair for our little one.One of the few places in Sandvika that opens Sundays.Thank you so much for your feedbck, David1949 !!

We arrived late afternoon and after settling in, just wanted to have a meal and an early night after some long-haul travelling. Although we could see it was going to be expensive to eat in-house, we thought it would be easier and quicker than finding a place elsewhere.The restaurant is located in the atrium of the Thon Hotel, which is set up as a square with rooms facing out and inside overlooking the restaurant... quite unusual, and not much atmosphere although the tables were nicely appointed with real linen, nice glasses and cutlery.Staff were very accomodating, finding a high-chair for our grand-daughter and organising some distractions. We ordered promptly, but the meals took ages to arrive by which time the little one was grumpy and the adults were very hungry. A bit odd since there were only a handful of diners.Food was only OK, the steak was overcooked and for approx. â¬40+ was not good value.. welcome to Norway! Wine list was basically a choice of one red or one white and again, very expensive.

From the moment we stepped inside the door the ambience, delightful aromas in the kitchen and welcoming spirit of the owners thrilled us! We had no idea that the food and presentation would amaze us even more. We were served fabulous selections with recommendations every step of the way throughout our dinner. The owner visited our table to assure everything was to our satisfaction and it's important to mention that the family speaks English fluently, which is great for tourists. The desserts are made only for local restaurants and they are heavenly. This wonderful local restaurant offers a fine dining experience with all of the essentials you hope for, at affordable prices. It is right next to the train station, making it a perfect getaway for an excellent lunch or dinner.

We were a group of 26 persons, tables with menus booked in advance to ensure servings should not be delayed. However, arriving on time, it took one hour before meal was served! A small, but appreciated service would have been to serve some bread with olive oil and balsamico in the waiting time, but no such service. Lame excuses, but when food finally arrived, it was worth waiting for. Sharpen up, otherwise this segment will turn you down.
