If you are looking for a good Italian coffee, don't look further and visit Hug IV Soul Cafe! It is away from the beach therefor nice & quiet. Relaxed atmosphere. Menu offers a good choice of pizza, sandwiches, burgers and salads. Daily menu offers some specials and some home-made sweet bakes are also available.

we went for dinner from Pongwe to this little restaurant and we did not know what to expect since our driver (the husband of the owner of th restaurant) stopped somewhere in the middle of the road (i guess at his home) to pick some bread most likely (amazing i have to say) and then arrived somewhere in the middle of the dark with no lights at all! Then he turned the light and we were surprised to find out we were the only guests in the restaurant. The place was really clean and well maintained. Food was awesome and prepared a la cart, and the quantity-quality amazing. Overall, slightly overpriced for the location and ambiance of the place but the seafood was worth it 100%. Convenient as well, the fact that you can arrange directly with them hotel pick up, since it is almost impossible to find this place on your own. Recommended for seafood lovers.

Servers were all great, kept coming back because it was so much easier than dealing with the sumptuous buffets at our resort- best burger I had in the whole two weeks and good steak, smoothies too- quick (surprisingly for Tanzania) and friendly, say hi to the servers Hamid (?) and Ivan, tell them Josh from the US sent you... run by Italians and they are really trying, good bathrooms with (also surprisingly for Tanzania) paper towels (or napkins)I wish they had a bigger menu, you get the feeling that there are more dishes they could do a good job with

Swahili spiced octopus and fish curry were unique, tasty and enjoyable. Menu has a good blend of light and bigger meals ranging from traditional to international. Appealing daily specials including lime meringue pie and dark chocolate cake.Lovely attentive staff who simply made you feel happy, a special mention and thanks to Sada and Lucy.Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Ate here tonight with my family, including my two children 12 and 13. The restaurant is smart ans spacious, the staff are very good and the food is absolutely superb (reminded me of Italy!!!) Reasonable selection, all freshly cooked to order. Good chef, good portions and good value also.I will return

we chose this bar restaurant mainly because of the roof-top providing a good shelter from the beach boys along with a good view from the ground. food was nice, only the sea food carbonara seamed somehow ...strange, but everything else was nice. kind staff and good shade during the afternoon.

Stayed three wonderful nights at this brand new small hotel (AC, small pool, stable hot water and wi-fi, run by a young couple of hospitable owners) that gives right onto a beautiful beach. Had three memorable dinners: perfectly grilled fresh seafood (lobster, octopus, calamari, whole fish), crispy seaweed (mixed with mango-avocado) salad, sea urchin pasta.Chef is definitely talented and creative!Friendly service.

We walked by and let us be convinced to stop for bear. When we ware seated we saw the couple on next table get pizza that looked and smelled really good so we ordered as well The service was good and the pizza even better so we became regular guests for the rest of our stay here in Zanzibar. As it is really hot and humid here we always asked for ice cold bear, we got the bear in ice bucket Thankyou for your lovely commentsIt's great to know that you enjoyed our Pizza and service....Karibuni tena..
