Port Hueneme (/waɪˈniːmi/ wy-NEEM-ee) is a small beach city in Ventura County, California surrounded by the city of Oxnard and the Santa Barbara Channel. The name derives from the Spanish spelling of the Ventureño phrase wene me, meaning "Resting Place". Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo explored this area and the adjacent Channel Islands in October 1542. The town's name was officially changed to Port Hueneme in 1939 and was incorporated March 24, 1948.

It was a dinner following a tasting event in the big square outside the restaurant. The restaurant is actually a grand Victorian house beautifully maintained and elegantly quaint. There was a very rowdy group of event-performers dining in the restaurant. They were so loud and boisterous we asked to be seated away from them. The staff and server graciously took us upstairs to a lovely private room and we enjoyed the wine and delicious seafood. A good experience and a lovely dinner.

We ordered a little late-after 8:30--they close at 9- but the still keep delivering after hours. So food got to the Embassy Suites in Oxnard around 9:30. It was hot and pretty great! We had so much food! We ordered a med. cheese pizza-a house salad-it was huge and chicken parmesan..enough fro 2 to share and hot wings...we had leftovers the next day! They remembered napkins, cheese, utensils and extra dressing. I make better chicken parm at home-but this was good for delivery. This is great for families who just don't want to go out... check out their" Bucket's of Fun" for 4-6 people and the Coupons on the web page ..and oh yes the Calzone was giant and delicious on previous occasions -they make wonderful sandwiches too!

Came here for pasta meal before a double century the next day; wasnât disappointed. Had spaghetti and meatballs ($12.45), exactly what I wanted. Was good! Husband had sausage and soup, also good. Friendly service, good food, typical American style Italian food, recommended.

Yesterday I took my daughter and granddaughter to Ciao Italian Grill for lunch. Great food choices for everyone. If you are watching your carbs and want spaghetti, there are four pastas to choose from: whole grain, traditional, gluten free, and veggie alternative which is spaghetti squash. The same with sauces too. They prepare the food right in front of you too. They also have grilled items like chicken, steak, sausage, tofu, shrimp, grilled vegetables and 7 sides. Fun spending time with family and enjoying my meal too.

While staying in a hotel nearby in Oxnard, we decided to order Toppers Pizza. It had some great reviews and some not so great but we were tired and wanted something easy. The expected delivery time for a Friday night was 45 minutes. We were pleasantly surprised when it was at our hotel in 30 minutes - hot and steamy. We ordered a pizza, breadsticks, and my husband had a sandwich and loved it. In fact, we were so pleased, we ordered the exact same order for the following night!

Stopped for lunch, yes lunch, open Tues - Fri from 11:30am to 2pm, reopening for dinner at 5pm. Former employee Rico, now the new owner was serving food the day I was there. Very pleasant guy, excited to give you the history of the restaurant. I had rigatoni with marinara sauce and two Italian sausage links which was excellent. Small Italian salad and garlic bread accompanies meal. Nice menu with a good selection of Italian dishes including Pizza. Comfortably decorated with both booths and tables and chairs. Plenty of parking in back where main entrance to Restaurant is located. I will return for dinner in future.

Don't let the decor or the building stop you from eating here! Let Dean Martin serenade you as you enjoy some of the best Italian Food there is! WOW! Portion sizes are very large and everything was great! Wish they had a little better beer selection but ..... The food is great!

Many great things to say about Body Fuel. I personally liked the décor; the restaurant is so clean you could eat off the floor ! The food was excellent, we had the BBQ chopped chicken salad and the pulled pork sandwich. Both very generous portions and both very good. Enjoyed talking to the staff there, all very friendly. When in the area, it will be our casual go-to eating place.Hi Jan, Thank you so much for coming into Body Fuel Bistro!
