We have been coming to this restaurant for years. Always a good wholesome Italian meal. Nothing too fancy, BYO wine, good local vibe, friendly staff.Not sure what has happened recently, maybe a new owner or new staff but we had the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant!! We booked for outside, so when we arrived he saw that our table was the only reserved one outside, sat down and got attitude from the waiter from then on in. The waitress outside acted like it was a drama every time she had to come outside. We had to wave through the windows to get her attention to place our order, again to order a drink, She simply didn't want to come out in the cold. Basically rolls her eyes and gets another waitress to come out. Lovely Japanese waitress and lovely blonde haired waitress, the other waitress and waiter should be fired for how they treat guests.Took over half an hour for pizza bread, which is yummy BTW, then the Waiter almost smashed my plate slamming my pasta down in front of me. So rude.I have worked in hospitality all of my life and would never act in such a way, nor have I ever, ever experienced this kind rudeness from staff in any establishment throughout the world.We will never return on principal, even though we love the food. We will tell everyone we know to avoid at all costs as unfortunately two bad seeds can ruin the whole apple.

From the moment you walk in you feel part of the family.The welcome is warm and friendly.The two waitresses and chef who served us were very good and efficient.We shared serves of Yellow fin tuna carpaccio,twelve fresh garlick prawns with chilli and tomato sauce,and grilled Calamari with balsamic mayo.All courses were presented with flair and very good indeed.A well priced wine list complimented the evening.This restaurant was full on a Sunday night,deservedly so.

I love the concept of this little eatery. Very casual, where you go to the counter yourself and choose your flavours from whats in the window. These are sold by the slice which is fantastic for our family as we have two teenagers and no one can ever agree on a pizza flavour to share. Keep in mind that you can also order whole pizzas, or by the slice.From memory it is $16 with two slices and a beer/cider or about $12 for two slices and a soft drink. There is high bench seating which is for sharing and suits the venue well. The pizza makers are on full display and it is amazing to watch them spin that dough. The pizza's themselves are delish in my books. I adore the varied flavours and try new ones each time we go. They are huge and two is plenty but they are nice and thin like a traditional New York style, served on cardboard as well so you can manage it without dropping. Highly recommend giving this local gem a try.

I love taking all my southern visitors to Justin's lane. The atmosphere and food is always good. We usually drop in for some share plates and a few vino's. Always wanted to try this pizza and we weren't disappointed. It was great. Yes its a little more than normal bulk pizza places but worth every cent. Plenty of topping, little stands in middle so the box doesn't touch the pizza - really good!

Staying at the GC because my passport had expired and could not get on plane to Bali anyways delightful holiday still. Uber driver suggested this place and it did not disappoint. On arrival lovely waitress bought us cold water and then ordered a bottle of red. Entree of shared salad and focaccia then after a nice time between a meal the mains. One was fettuccine carbonara and the other was tomato gnocchi. Both were absolutely delicious. Really nice place for dinner. Great wine list great service. Would highly recommend

The food was authentic Italian (I should know, I'm an authentic Italian too!), service outstanding and my family and I had a wonderful evening. Ordering from an iPad is easy and you can keep track of your spend . Food and drinks delivered quickly and also has a good childrenâs menu . Our second visit did not disappoint. The service was great. The food really really good with lots of choice. The serving sizes too big but surely not a complaint for most people. All the staff were attentive and friendly and professional. The handmade cocktails fabulous.Iâm thrilled you had another great experience at Balboa Italian.
