We believe a menu is not only a menu. But a collision of tastes, ideas, techniques and stories, knitted by one of the most known chefs in Romania: Martin White. Here, we appreciate complex tastes, but we do not forget that good food can only be created us
This restaurant is part of the Stejarii Country Club, which is located in the Northern part of Bucharest between the Stejarii residential complex on one side and the national road DN1 and the Police Academy on the other side.it still escapes me what was the main idea whn erecting this type of establishment very near or inside a sports club. Usually, all the clubs around the world have a restaurant and a bar attached to them, where the members can enjoy the benefits of their memberships. Again, usually, the price ranges at these club bars and restaurants are lower in comparion with the general market, as they are partialy subsidised by a certain quota from the membership fee. Hence the members have the priviledge of enjoying various drinks and food to go with them at priviledged tarrifs and this is in fact one of the basic principles and reasons for a person to apply for a club's membership i.e. to get value for the money and even something on top of the value, something called super added value, that only the members can enjoy. This restaurant was intended to be a five star one and the prices on the menu are proportional with the initial intention. In its very early days it managed somehow to provide good food, but certainly not value for money. It was and still is highly priced and there is no difference between their prices and any five star hotel in town, although the food in a five star hotel restaurant could be better. They brought a 2 or 3 star Michelin chef to create the menu for them and the chef trained few local chefs in order to be able to replicate the entire menu at any given time. In the beginning it somehow worked, but now a certain lack of interest can be tasted in the food.I presume the business is very good for them because I could not see any relaxation in their pricing policy. If you access the Stejarii Country Club website you will get the monthly schedule of various theme breakfasts, brunches, lunches and dinners. Even what they charge for kids is quite steep.Unless you are a member there or a member's guest it is difficult to understand why would anyone go there and eat at this restaurant, due to its relative isolation. The location is nice and quiet and during the warm months of the year one could enjoy the outside seating as well.It could also be a very good location to organise various social functions, either family or business related. The resutaurant is a modern one and the atmosphere is nice and pleasant, given its location. In fact it is located at one end of the club's outdoor olympic pool and when it was opened they closed down the cabana at the other end of the pool, which was having a small terrace and was also having a pizza oven and was also offering an assortment of salads and BBQ foods. The people who operated that cabana are all working on the new restaurant as the managers decided to kill the cabana business and activity, in order to force the club members to satiate themselves in the new resturant and to ensure a steady cash flow, that would ultimately ensure a safe and sound fast investment recovery. A bad move in my personal oppinion and also quite a wild whot for their business. If the restaurant is still there and its still open, this means that somehow they manage to stay afloat.I am sure that this "fine dining" restaurant was a bonus offered to the residents of the Stejarii residential complex but it should have been also inside the residential complex and not on the sports club premises. For this level of cooking, one would expect the prices to be cut more than 50 - 60% and more people wearing shorts and tennis raquets to be allowed to dine all throughout the day. The location says it all.

Just around the corner from hotel down a side street we found a very good restaurant helped by the signs on the lampposts. A basic but complete menu offering Italian fayre from pizzas to pasta but other choices too. We went for the speciality of flame roasted rooster . Not disappointed. Beautiful cooked full of flavour and accompanied by special sauce. Served with different side choices from fries , roasted vegetables or spinach. Accompanied by reasonably priced beer and pleasant house wine the meal was filling and enjoyable and the service great.

The restaurant is typically Italian and proposes a vast culinary offer, but we are best recognized for our daily fresh fish offer. Thanks to the contacts that Mr. Viorel Nica has made, twice a week we receive fresh fish imported directly, without intermed
Isoletta used to be a favorite in Bucharest restaurants. What happened?? Very very veryyy slow service, the food came late and my âtocanita de fructe de mareâ had a tone of butter, as if the cook had thrown half of the butter block to it. The pasta of my little daughter took 1h (pasta quatro formaggi that should take 15-20 min max). Really really bad. Very disappointed

Iâve been a client of Capriciossa Restaurant for more than seven years, the food is always excellent and the staff is super friendly. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Our family favourite dishes are pene alla siciliana ( with aubergine and lots of cheese), home made pasta with truffles and mushrooms in butter, and salmon with asparagus baked in the oven. Always on the first page of the menu you will find the daily specialties, if you want to try something new or the dozens of types of pastas and pizzas in the menu leave you undecided. As I said, an amazing variety of pastas, good pizzas, a nice selection of starters that you can choose from the buffet at the entrance, and enticing desserts.Very family-friendly at lunch time, and couples- friendly in the evening. Business-meeting friendly outside lunch time, which is more busy, I would say. If you want to go to Capriciossa in the weekend, I suggest you make a reservation as they are usually quite booked. No wonder with all that delicious food (and correct, not too high prices).

As usual we were looking for a nice, good restaurant where to spend some time together and have a good meal.Fortunately we just leard about Cucinetta from a good friend who was extremely happy with his experience here si we decided to try it as well.To make the long story short we could not make a better choice:Service was very good and the food was extremely tasty (we had tuna in pistachio crust, caponata, cozze in vine sauce, tiramisu).Prices are fair.

Food is very nice although I would prefer to have the menu changed more often... I get bored of the same variety kept more than 1 year... One of the best fish restaurants in Bucharest. I love tuna tartar! Is a restaurant where the owners are continuously investing money and they do not give up to the quality! The restaurant standards are kept at the highest level!Thank you for your kind words! We are glad to inform you that, after November 15, we will have a new menu. We are sure that you will find something you like among our new dishes. All the best!

I ordered a pizza on a Sunday-evening before an early flight and received something that nothing has in common with an original Italian speciality. As I was hungry I consumed it, but there was so much grease on it that I could almost not sleep all night. There are a lot of good Italians in the neighborhood, but this restaurant you have to avoid when you are looking for an original one
