Donât let the name fool you. The Pizza Shack is really a contemporary Italian restaurant that also has great pizza. The food is terrific and the atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming. The wait staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a nice change from some of the more traditional Lake Conroe establishments.

Fantastic new place near Lake Conroe. The food and service this evening were just superb. Generous portions, outstanding presentation, comprehensive wine list and cocktail menu. Our filet and redfish entrees were perfectly prepared. The ambience is really nice. We are already making plans to return and enjoy the Italian portion of the menu, plus the lobster roll and desserts. What a great place.

I want local owned restaurants to be successful, but I cant give a good review here. The thin crust pizza was limp and the topping slid off the pizza. Maybe getting the regular crust would have been a better option. But the pizza is not as good as Dominos and for twice the price. why would anyone do that?
