Whenever I am in Montalbano. This is the place that makes my heart beat faster. Da Veleno is my Pizza and Pasta Heaven. Waiter are young quick and dedicated. Pizza must have been invented here. What a choice and the Pizzaiolo will try to make you happy for any extra topping you would love to spot on your Pizza. Foodies are welcome too. Have you ever tried Donkey Bracciole? Mmmmh and the sauce on Orecchiete. No words to describe. It is the huge variety of food that makes you thrill. Plus the staff that will give all passion and focus to make you happy. Only thing you could regret is the size of your belly after a tremendous meal. ;)

We came here as the hotel was overpriced and this restaurant was recommended to us. Nice atmosphere inside or out. Good selection on the menu, we shared a tasting meal which was delicious. We did ask a few times for balsamic vinegar to have with the olive oil and bread. It was forgotten a few times too! We ate here twice in the week we stayed. I would say that the choice of restaurants in the local area are limited, so this is definitely the best out of the selection availableThe outside area basically looks out over the main road and parked cars, and overlooks the entrance to flats over the road. Not particularly romantic. Recommend if in the area.

Italian cuisine with a modern twist. Great selection of Italian Tapas as a starter. Food is amazing, high level of quality. Comprehensive list of wines, beer and cocktails. Friendly and attentive staff. Great interior and a great terrace. Two aperitifs, two starters, two mains, a bottle of wine and water and coffee was 65 Euros.

Expansive Restaurant Offering Internal And External Dining Areas Serving Traditional Pugliese Cuisine.friendly Staff And Full Tummies.
From the roadside it looks nothing special but that idea is totally wrong....... Very good honest food with a good and friendly service at a very affordable price.I can reccomend this place without any doubt. The mussels as a starter are fantastic ! Children took the tortelloni with mushroom which tasted very good too.My wife and me took the tagliata meat which was cooked a little too well, which was the only critic on a wonderful dinner.Even the wine is not expensive our 15 euro choice tasted better as wines of double and higher prices. The french fries are hand cut and even I don't eat this often I recommend to take them !Enjoy real Italian food ....

We had the antipasti, a pizza, some bombette pork and a lemon cake . Whilst the pizza and lemon cake were good. The pork was tasteless and fatty. The baked potatoes were inedible. Disappointed.

Between different aromas and flavors, like the different seasons, Pugliaâs kitchen steps forward like a lightweight dance between earth and sea. Among the white stones and an always tempered climate, its food, today as yesterday, reveals to be a real plea
Set inside of a forest of Millennium old olive trees, Il Frantoio is a beautiful escape into the country side of Puglia. Armando has redeveloped this Masseria into a dream. At the start of each night, Armando offers a short tour and history lesson of the still working farm. From the variety of terraced sections of the property to the underground olive mill to the building housing hundreds of years old history. With his wife manning the kitchen, she creates a regional lesson in the cuisine that will keep you stuffed for days. Itâs difficult to eat every night, but I chose the 8 course menu with wine pairing so I could taste the regional specialties. The rooms are quaint and cozy. The pool is a blessing during the summer heat, as is the honor bar which houses not only regional wines but freshly made snacks as well. Ostuni is just a short 10 minute drive away. There are two beaches as well, only 10-15 minutes drive. I HIGHLY suggest Il Frantoio as a home base for your adventure in Puglia, as it is great for couples or a family get away. You wonât be disappointed.

Down a side road, Tony Bar doesn't look like much. But it has a local reputation for having the best panzenotte in the region. It didn't disappoint, which is why it is jammed by the locals. Saturday night was crazy busy. Not sure how they pump out that much food from their little kitchen. By day, Tony Bar has coffees, booze and a few baked goods. Nice stop for an informal meal surrounded by locals.

On the quality/cost dimension, Il Cortiletto is a true gastronomic phenomenon that rightly deserves the plaudits that it has received. Given all the positive reviews the restaurant has received, I can add little more than that we had such an enjoyable dinner that we returned the next day for lunch. This was perhaps a mistake, as I was surprised to find the menu unchanged from that of dinner the night before. This perhaps is Il Cortilletto's 'Achilles Heal' in that, in my experience, when a restaurant relies on a formula it can easily become stale. If the owner(s) read this I would encourage them to be brave and experiment a bit more - and certainly via a different lunch menu. Otherwise, 'mille grazie'

Having found this because we tried to get into a local restaurant that was booked we actually stumbled upon one of our favourite places we visited the whole week.Lovely outside garden, great service and attentive waiter.Great variety of options for food including meat options in a predominantly fish area.Would highly recommend
