We haven't been back to Overland Park or KC in almost 20 years so we weren't sure what to expect with so much time passing. We went to the Shannon Valley location, off College Boulevard in Overland Park and walked in and saw one of the owners Jack Leone still working dough as he has done his entire career. Greatness never changes and in Jacks case, he's the best. We even ran into some of the same staff members Jack has maintained since we remember last. Its a testament to the ownership, leadership and quality of the man if he can retain staff for 20 years like that. My wife ate a ham and cheese calzone, her favorite from back in the day and I had a Stromboli...you guessed it...my favorite as well. I will tell you that over time when your a kid you eat things and you say...ohh man, I love that stuff but as you age and your taste buds and experiences alter the way to feel about certain things, you may change your opinion about what you thought you loved...Not in this case!!!! The food was just as we remembered it, EXCELLENT!!! It hasn't chamged and although Overland Park has changed a lot over the year since we were last year, Original Pizza has stuck to what they know, what they do and that's make the best pizza in town...Hands down!!!When in Overland Park, stop in here for pizza or get it to go...either way, you cant go wrong!!

I was excited to finally go here for dinner but I was largely ignored by my server. An embarrassed restaurant coworker/server watching this go on apologized and finally filled my water and brought my check. My pasta meal was very good, salad and bread were ok not great.Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I am disappointed to hear about the service you received. You definitely did not get the true Johnny's experience and I want to apologize for that. I have shared your review with management to use as a training/learning opportunity. I do hope you will be willing to give us another try, Thank you.

This place is always amazing!! Been here several times now and I have a different pizza everytime. If I am unsure about something, I just ask the wait staff and am never guided wrong. It's usually Ben that serves us. Definitely recommend Old Shawnee Pizza to anyone wanting amazing pizza and service!

Cinzettiâs used to be the shining star of Overland Park. We hadnât visited there for quite some time and decided to go. It has fallen short. It used to be a place of social elites but now i felt as though I was in a lower class 3rd world country. Parents allowing their children to run around as though it was a Golden Corral. The cleanliness was substandard and the restroom was in the same category of a truck stop experience. All I can say is how did a once iconic restaurant degrade to this depth?! We will never return.

We had dinner there last evening (Father's Day) with another couple with whom we have been friends for many years. Simply put, everything was perfect from the inviting restaurant decor and layout to the well-prepared and fairly priced food and drinks to our charming (100 lbs soaking wet) server who could not have been better, keeping her verve and humor even at the end of a long day. To top it off we got to watch the last few holes of the US Open won by a fellow Jayhawk.

This is my favorite pizza in Kansas City, and in 30 years we have tried it all! On several occasions we have reserved the private room for team events, and the service has been outstanding.

Visited at 6p on Saturday, with no reservation. The host, expediter, manager was extremely helpful in getting us seated despite a full schedule of reservations. I had the baked lasagna, supreme style, which was fantastic. All other 3 in our party really enjoyed their entrees as well. Service was great, food delivery was speedy. Dessert options were great, and I think I had the tuxedo chocolate cake which was dynamite. This place is great. My only suggestion would be to partner with someone like OpenTable and ensure that their Google page shows a link to make reservations.

Pizza is nothing special, the chicken salad is actually good. However, for the premium cost of a pie, this place doesn't seem high class. I don't recommend it.
