Tomato is a culinary symbol of summer. Its taste brings memories of scorching sun, smell of hot air and quiet melody of long, careless evenings. This delicious and precious fruit, whose name originates from the mythical "golden apple", is worth the best c
We were two for an evening meal and had cream of tomatoe for starters and split their pizza Siciliana (anchovies, capers, mozarella). Plus water. This cost ca 25 euro, quite pricey considering that tomatoe soup was simply passata drizzled with pesto and pizza was soft, gummy, overloaded with gooey cheese, quite tasteless and not very hot when it arrived. Not to be repeated.

This newly opened cafe has several strengths that might make it successful: great location (just on the alley leading from the town's main route to the graduation towers), with a nice view on the park Zdrojowy; a big open air area (apart from the roofed cafe part) and the right selection of cakes, icecream and all that you might need on a sunny afternoon. The minuses are the prices (very high even for the local standards) and the staff that seems to be untrained and slightly careless (example: a girl behind the counter did not bother to listen to what we asked her for she... had to settle something on the phone with her mother, as she openly informed us - very professional and attentive, indeed...). All in all, a nice spot but mind your wallet and show some patience with the servicing staff...
The Restaurant Mezzo is specialising in steaks. In fact, there are several options of them in the menu, including NY steak. However, if you come with bigger group of people, some are not available, to order. The steaks are served on the wooden boards, what I personally do not like. From Italian cuisine, there are some versions of pasta, to which too much oil has been added. At first glance, the interior looks good, but it`s lack of atmosphere, especially in the cold days, when the rooms are not heated enough.
