I have been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years and it is probably about time to write a review :). If you are ever in this area, La Grotta is well worth the visit. Outside of Dusseldorf it is is far above any other Italian restaurant we know. The food is consistently good and a meal with friends is extremely pleasant inside or in summer out on the terrace. Simple dining or large parties can all be accommodated. I have been with parties of over 40 and the kitchen still was able to serve everyone comfortably. Melanzane parmigiana, my favorite dish, seems to have disappeared from the menu but the pizza and ravioli are still there. In the spring asparagus with tagliatelle is also a favorite. I very much recommend starting with an antipasto plate including the black olives which are delicious. I am sorry to say that I have yet to see Leonardo, the boss, ever break a smile...but I guarantee that you will after dining here. Enjoy.

I am an American-Canadian with a large group of Italian friends who live near me in Aachen. They all told me about this gem which is hidden off the beaten path. We drive 30-40 minutes each way to dine here but it is totally worth it.The food is so good it's hard to believe until you've eaten there yourself. We have had three dinners there, two lunches, 1 wedding celebration (friends of ours), our wedding lunch there (14 friends from 4 countries) and so far there hasn't been 1 person who wasn't delighted with what they were served.For those who don't delight in authentic Italian food they also have steak from Nebraska and a host of other dishes (no pizza or french fries here, athough when we once had little guests with us they "made" fench fries in the oven for them- very sweet!)A personal advantage for me is that they are also familiar with food allergies. I have two friends who both have Coeliac disease and I am lactose intolerant and they can cater to almost any dietary need. I really can't recommend it enough. I do suggest making a reservation if at all possible especially if your going to drive a ways there. They speak at the very least Italian, German and English all fluently!

La nuova tavola in Erkelenz has some peculiarities being an italian restaurant in Germany: they are really italian ( and not Croatian or Egyptian or whatever else) , they cook with italian taste ( they do original italian recipes without compromises to satisfy german taste), they have fish ( this is also common in Italy but not in Germany for a restaurant) and they are also friendly. Having said that I recommend this restaurant also for the quite ambient and the service they offer. The only negative aspect I could see is that they do not accept credit card but just debit ones. Price is ok if it were in Italy but for my experience a bit higher than average for Germany.

Diegoâs ice-Dream is by far the best ice-cream I have ever tasted. It is definitely a reason worth to visit Lövenich. The ice-cream is made fresh every day without conservatives and it only contains fresh ingredients.We really Love it and will always visit Lövenich to eat an ice-cream ;-)

Op aanraden van het hotel gaan eten. Het bleek een Italiaans pareltje. Een tafel voor twee op het drukke terras. De motorhelmen aan de kant. Gestart met heerlijke Vittelo Tonnato, met heerlijk brood erbij. Dat kwam de Chef zelf brengen, terwijl zijn vrouw de heerlijke gerechten uitserveerde. Als hoofdgerecht spaghetti met zeevruchten; verrukkelijk! Een heerlijk toetje van mascarpone met aardbeien na. Bij het afrekenen (â¬79,70) kregen we een heerlijke limoncello cadeau. Wel jammer dat alleen Duitse betaalkaarten werden geaccepteerd. Hebben we niet! Maar net genoeg cash bij ons. Dit kon de feeststemming niet onderdrukken!

Ich kann ausschlieÃlich den Lieferservice und die Qualität der bestellten Gerichte bewerten. Wir bestellen wiederholt und immer wieder gerne zur Lieferung nach Hause. Die Bestellannahme ist immer freundlich und einwandfrei. Die Lieferung erfolgt immer ohne Beanstandung meist auch schneller als angekündigt. Und die Qualität ist echt gut. Man muss bedenken, dass die Gerichte transportiert werden. Und häufig hat man dann bei anderen Pizzerien labberige, kalte Pizza im Karton. Bei Ciao jedoch kommt die Pizza IMMER heià und knusprig an. Individuelle Wünsche werden immer erfüllt (ohne dies, doppelt das, statt x lieber y, alles wird wie gewünscht erfüllt).Daher - immer wieder sehr gerne.

For an authentical Italian Pizza, THIS is the Place togo to. Excellent selection of fine Italian Wines is a given in this place. It was a very enjoyable experience for all of us. Specially the Kits in our company where looked after very well. I can only recomment this place. On another Visit I asked Tony the Owner, to just surprise me. Oh boy. He brought a fine selection of Frutty de Mare. Also his Miesmuscheln are excellent.

China - Buffet = kleiner Preis für all u can eatwo Ãst das besondere? Teller vollschaufeln so oft und so viel man will um erzählen zu können ich habe ganz was verrücktes gegessen, Sushi :-)Sorry aber mit richtiger Küche hat das ganze nichts zu tun.Positiv: Die Speisen erscheinen frisch, das Personal ist schnell und höflich, alles ist essbar. Trotzdem, muss kein weiteres mal sein.
