Booked this hotel as we arrived at Villa San Giovanni after 9:30pm.Took us a few minutes to find it with the navigator, however the checkin was fast and the staff helpful.Breakfast was decent considering the â¬49 a night

All food was un edible due to salt. We did not eat any of the food and we were still charged the full amount. The service was poor, we were ignored. I've never been so disappointed at a restaurant!

Amo recensire i luoghi che frequento, oltre che per aiutare altri viaggiatori , anche e sopratutto perché è uno stimolo eventualmente a migliorarsi. Nel caso di questo locale confesso di trovarmi in evidente difficoltà a raccontare il calore del luogo fisico e dei suoi proprietari. CI arriviamo del tutto casualmente nell' intento di mangiare un boccone . Capiamo da subito di essere in un posto speciale. Accoglienza super Sapori antichi ritrovati .Pizza ottima. I proprietari sono persone veramente speciali per l 'amore che dimostrano nei confronti del loro lavoro e le la grande attenzione che hanno nei confronti dei clienti. Serata stupenda apprezzata anche dal mio stomaco che laddove manca la genuinità manda segnali assolutamente inequivocabili. Ci ritornerò senza dubbio.

Questo locale offre un percorso degustazione di cui ho sentito parlare molto bene ma anche menú alla carta,apparentemente semplice ma dal risvolto inaspettato.Abbiamo cenato con due antipasti e due secondi, io di terra e mio marito di mare.Portate abbondanti, curate nel dettaglio e buonissime!!Grande varietà di pesce freschissimo che si scioglieva in bocca, mix di sapori che si sposano alla perfezione (io ho ordinato caciocavallo silano con speck e miele).La maestria dello chef è emersa anche in portate classiche, che sono state il biglietto da visita per una prossima cena a La Badessa! Nota di merito al personale di sala, gentilissimo e affabile.Locale intimo e curato.Se posso permettermi di dare un consiglio ci vorrebbe una maggiore pubblicità sui social, perché il ristorante ha una cucina eccellente, data da un giovane chef calabrese di un certo livello, e merita di essere conosciuta da più gente possibile...Fortunatamente il sistema più efficace è il passaparola, lo stesso che ci ha portato a cenare a La Badessa, quindi sono certa che in futuro avrà ancor piú grande successo!

Perché tanta fretta? Prendetevi tutto il tempo che ci vuole. Gustatevi appieno il momento.- One: mangiatela con gli occhi. Quando ve la portano è un vero spettacolo di perfezione e bellezza. Tonda giottesca, bordi rialzati (...e guai a lasciarli!), cuore simmetrico di complementi.- Two: mangiatela col naso. Quando ve la mettono sotto è un'ondata di profumi. Neanche quella della nonna vi colpiva così.- Thre: mangiatela con le mani. Solo così ne gusterete la consistenza. Siete ad un passo dal godimento quando l'indice ne piega la fetta tra pollice e medio.- Four: mangiatela in silenzio. Solo voi e lei, la vs unica amata per stasera. Sarà la musica per le vs orecchie.- Five: mangiatela... con gusto. Visited 3 times with my partner, twice at lunch and once for dinner. The food was fantastic! The antipasto is delicious, we had the seafood antipasto twice and also had arancini with 'nduja which was probably the best I've had outside of Nonna's kitchen! We had the scampi rigatoni which was lovely and one lunch we had lobster with local Calabrian pasta which was also great.Service was excellent, quick and very friendly/helpful. Can't wait to eat here again!

Two American girls wandering the tiny streets of Maida and what do we find - the most wonderful little culinary hideaway. Although it was not officially open at the time we were there, Graziella warmly welcomed us in and began to feed us immediately. One dish and then another. Each one more wonderful than the next until we could eat no more. What a wonderful surprise! We will remember her warmth and kindness always.
